"I would destroy myself to fix you, but I don't deserve you."

"Where is my car?" I asked, finally pulling away from out embrace.

We had stayed in each other's arms for hours, even went as far as to start cuddling together on the bed.

The television in the bedroom was playing, its colors and images lighting up the walls around us. The audio faded out into the background when I turned my attention to him.

I figured he may know where my car was since I wasn't really given an answer earlier by Jungkook.

He paused then tilted his head against the pillow to look at me. His eyebrows scrunched together, and he looked confused.

"My car. Jungkook and I went to the barn earlier to pick it up, but it was gone."

His fingers gently traced my hairline as I continued to look up at him. He shrugged, his clothes scraping against the sheets.

"I was going to keep it a surprise for you, but I guess it's too late for that now," he laughed quietly.

"I was planning on getting you a new car, one you could ride all over town without feeling any anxiety. I was going to surprise you in a few weeks, but now you know."

I looked at him in complete shock. He was going to get me a new car? Just for me?

I could feel my eyebrows raise all the way up and my eyes pucker from my sockets.

"Y-you were?" was all I could say in response.

He tightened his embrace around me and pulled me into his chest. His lips gave me a soft kiss on my nose before I laid back down. His heartbeat echoed into my ear, and I felt myself instantly relax.

"Yes. I had sold the other one. I was originally going to repaint it and put on a new plate, but I figured why not get an entirely new one."

A huge smile spread across my lips. He was too perfect for me. No one had ever put in so much thought into something like that for me before.

"I'm sorry to frighten you," he whispered into my ear.

He kissed my temple and my grip around his hand that I was holding in mine tightened. He slowly pulled his face away from the side of my head and his eyes stared deeply into mine.

I could hear his breathing quicken in pace when we continued to eyeball each other, the sexual tension between us increasing drastically.

My stare trailed down his face to his plump lips, and I suddenly remembered the first kiss we had shared with each other.

It felt like a totally different lifetime since then, but it wasn't that long ago. We both had changed so much within that time frame, but I wondered if for the better.

Before we could connect lips, he leaned down and gave me a teasing smile, "I have to go to the bathroom."

I rolled my eyes playfully and hit him with a pillow as he got up. He laughed before he disappeared into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. I sat, pouting, with my arms across my chest.

Then, suddenly, the images on the television screen came to a news broadcast.

A picture of a melted, red car was in a square picture on the right-hand corner of the screen. The car looked just like mine but had different plates and a different color.
