We have already learnt one preposition; '在', 'at' or 'on'. However, there are three other crucial prepositions that we need to know: 'beneath', 'behind' and 'in front of'.
Our first one will be the former; 'beneath'. It is written as '下'; a simple, easy-to-remember character that clearly resembles an object being underneath another. You would say it as 'ha4'.
'Behind' is a little more complicated and may remind you of the spoken equivalent of 'is''s character in Chinese. It is '後', said as 'hu2'.
Finally, 'in front of' is the antonym of 'behind'. It is '前', said as 'chien3'.
In the next chapter, we will reflect on our vocabulary.
