Scömìche is pretty new, only a week or so into being official.
Mention of rape threat.
"I can't do this." Mitch says as they arrive at a the court house.
Scott looks at him, "Why not?"
"I can't get up in front of him and tell everybody what happened. What if he's found not guilty?"
"There's so much proof of what he did to you, Mitchy. He's going to be guilty."
"At least I don't have to see him..."
"You ready?" Nel chimes in.
"I kind of have to be." They go into the court room, Mitch gripping Scott's hand tightly the whole time.
Scott lets go of his hand, "Okay, baby, I have to sit with your mom, but I'll be here the whole time." Mitch reaches out for Scott's bicep, holding it tight, and whimpers.
"No, please, I can't do this alone."
"Please, Scotty. I c-can't see anything a-and it's all just a big thing of n-nothing." He tears up and his bottom lip quivers. He flinches when he hears Tony's voice talking to someone Mitch assumes to be his lawyer.
"I'll talk to them, okay?" Scott talks to the judge, who allows him to sit with Mitch. Scott sits down but Mitch has to stay standing with his lawyer.
"On the counts of assault and attempted murder, how do you plead?"
"Not guilty, Your Honor."
"Barba?" Rafael Barba is Mitch's lawyer, he's one of the best considering his mom couldn't represent him since she's too close to Mitch.
"My client was passed out for who knows how long and almost died in the emergency surgery. Not to mention the fact that he is now blind. I suggest remand for bail."
"Your Honor, my client is 16 and has no money, he's not a flight risk." Tony's lawyer, Rita Calhoun, defends.
"He has a car and knows where Mitch lives, he is very much a flight risk."
"I agree. Bail is remanded until further notice." The judge bangs the gavel before calling Mitch to the stand.
"W-Wait, I can't. S-Scotty, help."
"Shh.. it's okay, I'm here." Mitch holds onto Scott's elbow as the blond guides him to the stand.
"Mitchy, I have to go back now."
"I.." Scott looks at the judge, who nods.
"No talking, however."
"Thank you." They pull a chair up for Scott and he sits next to Mitch, who holds his hand as if his life depends on it.
Mitch puts his right hand up, which is still in a cast, "Mitchell Grassi, do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?"
"Barba, your witness."
Barba stands up and walks closer to Mitch, standing about halfway between the stand and the table he sits at.
"Mitch, I'm very sorry this happened to you. I'm going to ask you some questions, take your time to answer them, I know this is very hard."
"Okay, thank you."
