Cath looked at her masterpiece. It was amazing how such a bad tasting cake could look like the best cake ever made. She picked up the old cake and slipped it into the trash chute. She walked out of the kitchen and saw the main chef waiting there nervously.

"You're majesty, I forgot something in the kitchen may I receive it?"

"Of course! The kitchen is in top shape, I am very happy with it." Cath saw his shoulder's slump with relief. "But I must ask, what was that bottle you put in your pocket earlier?" His face had not guilt, but worry etched in it.

"It i-is poison," he said pulling the bottle out, "to. . . um make sure bugs don't eat all the flowers?"

"So, tell me why is it in the kitchen?"

He fidgeted a bit the hem of his shirt before saying, "It was just a simple misplacement, it won't happen again." he looked down.

"It better not," she said while walking away.

A few days past by and it was time for Catherine's sturgery. It was really all a blur to her, all she could remember was stumbling to the room in a really ugly uniform and laying down.

"This will only hurt a bit," Mary Anne coaxed, Cath felt a needle sink into her skin and then everything went black.
