UGH! WHY DOES the North Pole have to be all the way across the world." Sokka complains.

"Why does the most annoying guy in the world have to be on this flying bison." I mocked, clearly aggravated. Sokka huffed at my comment and crossed his arms turning away from me.

"Okay, you two." Katara glared.

"We just have to make one stop! The southern air temple." Aang gleamed.

"actually Aang, shouldn't we make camp?" katara pointed out. I look around realizing the blanket of stars covering over us.  "aang, we can go to the southern air temple first thing tomorrow morning. we need to set up camp for the night."

Aang nodded his head, as we started flying down.

once we landed Sokka fell out of the bison's saddle due to exhaustion. katara and I giggled as he fell fast asleep.

I jump off of Appa, Landing perfectly on my feet. Soon enough Aang does the same, and so does Katara. We all set up camp, grabbing firewood and setting up tents. The usual.

A few hours have passed of everyone sleeping, everyone except me. I don't have an ounce of a desire to fall asleep. Maybe it just seems so stupid to do so. I decided to take my mind off of things by taking a walk.

We landed in a pretty nice place, scenery wise. The moon is bright so I'm not aimlessly walking around. I notice a certain balled 112-year-old sitting on a rock, looking out on the nearby cannon.

"Can't sleep either huh?" I startled him.
"Oh good, it's just you." He sighed.
"What's bothering you?" Aang asks as I take a seat next to him.

"Everything." I bluntly reply. He gives me a puzzled look. So I explain myself, "you know, I found out I'm an avatar today." I chuckle. He gives me a weak smile. "Yeah? How does it feel?"

"Terrifying." I look at my hands, thinking about all the power, all the responsibilities.

"That's how I felt. How I still feel." Aang admits.

"You know when we found you in that iceberg, I almost felt like I knew you."

"I thought I knew you too." Aang lifts his head finally, now looking at me.

"Maybe it's just creepy spiritual avatar stuff." I shrug.

"Yeah. Maybe."

"But when we both went into the avatar state... it was like I didn't know who I was. I couldn't really tell if I was me or you..." He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "Not like that makes any sense or anything."

"No, it doesn't. But I felt it too. I understand what you're talking about. I couldn't even pinpoint who was doing what." I shrugged. Aang sunk deeper and deeper into his knees, lowering his head. "But it's not like either of us are alone." I look back at Sokka and Katara. Aang doesn't seem to care enough to look at me

"And you have me. I'm not going anywhere." I place my hand on his back.
"You're going to be a hero."

"What? What do you mean." He looks up at me again.

"Aang, I'm just a mistake the spirits made. I was never meant to be the avatar. Or an avatar. You're the real hero. This is your time. Not mine."

"What! How could you say that Saki! You're just as much as the avatar as I am. At least you didn't disappear for a hundred years!" Aang shoots up.

"This is both of our time. I need you. We all need you."

I couldn't help but smile to myself.

"But the world needs you."
