Chapter 19

Master and I soon found the remains of the old Separatist base. I smiled at our work, but Master told us we had to keep pushing. I wondered if there really was a droid factory or if the Separatists had just stationed multiple battalions on Shili to protect the already destroyed base. I kept contradicting my thoughts. I wanted to believe there was a Separatist base, but every klick we walked, it seemed less likely.

"Master," I said, stopping in my tracks and Cody held up a fist for the clones to stop, "we are walking endlessly. This is pointless. There's no base." I finished helplessly.

Master sighed. "Focus on the Force Andora." I did as I was told. "Do you feel it?" He asked.

"Feel what?" I shrugged. Then I felt it. There was a pull forward. The Force was telling me to go forward.

"As a Padawan Learner, I didn't expect for you to figure that out, but now you know." Master Kenobi said and kept walking. I sighed and followed.

After a few more klicks, I saw smoke. "There," I said, pointing to the smoke which was coming from a large rock funnel. My first encounter with a droid factory.

There was a ravine between Master Skywalker's group and ours. We contacted him with our comlinks, as he was also about forty klicks behind us.

"Anakin," Master started, "we found the factory, it is about fifty klicks north of your location."

"Alright, we will meet you for the outward assault. You take your group and infiltrate the factory alone."

"I don't think it is wise to bring in the clones. Master Kenobi and I should go alone." I cut in.

Master looked at me. "Alright with me if you're okay with it Obi-Wan." Skywalker said over the comlink.

"Let's go, Andora. Cody, take your men and cross the ravine. There you will meet Skywalker's group. Wait for them."

"Yes, sir!" Cody said and rounded up the clones.

Master and I took off at a sprint for the factory. When were just outside the deck officer's view, Master and I collaborated.

"I think we should enter through the back. We won't alert all the security then." I suggested. Master rubbed his beard.

"No, I think, since we both have detonators," He said gesturing to our backpacks, "I will go in the front entrance and you will go in the back." I nodded.

"May the Force be with you." I said, and took off running. I was excited and nervous at the same time. What if I was overrun by droids? What if I couldn't place the detonators and failed?
