Chapter Seventeen: Back Together

Cesc smiled to himself as he woke up with Belina sleeping next to him, it had been over a week since he had left Daniella and gotten back together with the brunette; the footballer had found himself completely content with the change in his life and he wished he hadn’t wasted years apart from her.

“Buenos días,” Belina whispered as she opened her brown eyes and looked at the footballer, she ran a hand through her hair suddenly glad that it was the weekend and she didn’t have to get up early; the brunette was still out of work and Cesc seemed more than happy to pay for everything.

Cesc grinned as he leant down and kissed her, he knew that he had to speak with Daniella soon about a custody arrangement for Lia but he didn’t want to rub the fact that he had moved on in her face; he doubted she would be happy to hear that he was back together with Belina.

“Buenos días,” Cesc replied before he rolled out of bed, his feet touching the cold floor making him shiver slightly; news of his break-up had already broken and he was being careful not to let anyone know that he had gotten together with Belina so soon after his break-up.

Belina grinned as she watched her boyfriend, she knew that they were taking things slow since they didn’t want to rush into things after what had happened; Alejandro seemed thrilled that he got to spend more time with his father without having to put up with Joseph or Maria.

The brunette climbed out of bed and pulled down her grey sweat lounge hoody dress that she had worn to bed.

She checked that she wasn’t showing any skin before heading out of the bedroom after Cesc, she knew that he loved making breakfast for her and Alejandro since he had moved in with them, it made him feel better about missing out on so much.

“I have to speak with my lawyer later… sort out some agreement about Lia and her care,” Cesc said softly as he sat at the table, he glanced at Alejandro who was happily eating his pancakes while Belina sipped on her coffee; she knew that Cesc had responsibilities to the little girl and she didn’t fault him for wanting to be there and provide for his daughter.

The last thing Cesc wanted was for Daniella to use their daughter as a weapon against him, she had sort of done it in the collapse in her marriage with Elie Taktouk; she had then moved his children to Barcelona away from him and he didn’t seem them much anymore.

“It’ll be fine… David will make sure that everything will work out fine,” Belina said as she rested a hand on her knee and squeezed it, the couple were avoiding being affectionate towards one another; they didn’t want to upset Alejandro if this didn’t work out, even if Cesc was determined to make this work out this time.

The footballer nodded his head, he didn’t know what it as but he knew that Daniella wasn’t going to make this easy on him; she had been upset when he had packed up his things and moved out, he hadn’t wanted to stay in the same house as her after what her son had done to Alejandro.

“So what do you have planned for today?” Cesc asked curiously as he sipped on his own drink, he watched Belina knowing that this was what his life should have been like; he wasn’t going to be an idiot anymore and deny himself what he wanted anymore.

Belina sighed as she looked at him, she was in the middle of job hunting so she didn’t have much to do but Alejandro was going to a friend’s house for a couple of hours and they would be alone.

“It’s quiet,” Cesc mused as he wrapped his arms around Belina, he smiled to himself knowing that for the next few hours they were alone and it gave him time to spend with his girlfriend; he wanted to show her just how much he loved her.

The brunette rolled her eyes as she kissed his lips, she knew what he wanted and she was a little surprised that he had waited this long; the pair had come used to stealing moments so that they could have some time together.

“So what do you have planned?” Belina asked as she felt Cesc run his hand down her back, he pulled her close knowing that everything would work out from here; they hadn’t been through so much only to end up together, he wasn’t about to allow anything to pull them apart.

The couple carefully kissed since they knew that once Alejandro was back that they would have to be careful again about showing emotions; they carefully moved back towards their bedroom before Cesc’s mobile started to ring, he cursed softly as he pulled back from the brunette and moved to answer it.

“Hola?” Cesc asked confused since he didn’t recognise the number, he moved to sit down as he recognised the voice on the other end; he sighed as he glanced at Belina, knowing that this could take a moment. However the footballer paled as his father continued to talk to him, he choked softly knowing that if this was true then he was in a lot of trouble.

“She’s done what?” Cesc asked furiously making his girlfriend look at him concerned, she knew that the she in question had to be Daniella and it worried her what the other woman might have done in the last week.

“Garcias padre, I’ll call David straight away,” Cesc said as he took a deep breath before he ended the call, he cursed softly as he looked at Belina who was watching him; he knew that she wanted answers but he needed to speak with his lawyer first, he couldn’t believe that his ex-girlfriend had done this.

The footballer quickly pressed his phone back to his ear as he dialled his lawyer’s number, he ran a hand through his hair knowing that this made everything so much more difficult for him now.

“Hola David… it’s Cesc, Daniella has just left the country with Lia and I need you to find a way to get her back,” the footballer said making Belina pale, she knew that Daniella was doing this to hurt Cesc; she couldn’t believe that the Lebanese had done this, she knew that this was going to kill the footballer if Daniella refused to co-operate.

“I know but I didn’t think she’d use my daughter as a weapon against me because we aren’t together anymore,” Cesc hissed frustrated that this had happened, he had an idea where his ex-girlfriend had gone since she still had connections in London because of her ex-husband.

Her eldest children were her ties to him but he doubted that Elie would welcome her back after what she had done to him.

Belina watched him feeling guilty, she felt horrible that he had lost his daughter like this; if she hadn’t taken him back then he’d still have Lia and Daniella wouldn’t be using her as a weapon.

Cesc looked at his girlfriend knowing that this made things complicated for them, he didn’t blame her for what had happened; he’d had a feeling that Daniella would lash out when things had ended.

The Lebanese had treated her ex-husband like dirt when they had finished and he hadn’t expected any different when they had ended.
