As I stare out the floor-to-ceiling windows of Harry's apartment, I notice a flash of lightning glimmer in the night sky, my breath hitching slightly from fright. I step back a bit and find myself bumping into someone.
"Ahh!" I turn around and find Harry standing, arms crossed, smirking at me, pleased to have scared me.
"First lightning then me. You're easily scared," the demon chuckles, dressed in simply sweats and a black t-shirt.
"I told you I do not appreciate your tricks." My lips pout, my hands rubbing at my temples as the man walks to the kitchen.
"Relax, Sera. I didn't mean to scare you. Jesus—"
I lend him a glare.
"Jeez," Harry corrects himself. "I was just going to grab some ice cream. Care for some?"
My brows furrow as my eyes follow his movements as he pulls a round container of something out of the freezer and two spoons.
I transport to his side and stare at the container that reads 'mint chocolate chip.'
"What is ice cream?"
Harry's eyes widen in shock. Without replying, he simply opens the container to reveal a green substance with chocolate chips dotted all over it and hands me a spoon.
I decide to watch and observe him first as he digs in and eats a spoonful, dragging the spoon out of his mouth and swallowing. I follow suit and do the same, and the taste is divine. I smile at him when I swallow.
"I can't believe you've never tried ice cream! I would think that you could have whatever you want and more up there," he gestures up with his spoon before going back in for more.
"Well, we already have everything we need up there," I shrug and sink my spoon into the tub of ice cream again. "And I think ice cream was a bit later than my time."
"How could I have forgotten, grandma?" He smirks under his breath, about to stick his spoon in his mouth.
I use my powers to take the spoon from him and stick it in my mouth with a satisfied grin.
"That's evil," he snatches his spoon from my mouth and mine from my hand with an annoyed expression. Harry shuts the container, putting it back in the ice box.
"People are not supposed to tease a woman about their age."
"Good thing we're not people," he laughs and drops the spoons in the sink. Under his breath, he then sighs, "I have a thing for older women though."
