Empty Heart (BNHA x Reader)

The doors to the battle arena slowly opened. The students were pushed, shoved and some were thrown on the ground. (Y/n) saw how stupid they all looked, desperately looking for robots and yelling at each other. Some accused other students for stealing points and others were threatening anyone who got in their way. 

(Y/n) was disappointed. These were her future classmates? She couldn't believe the immaturity that they were showing. The empty threats, the cheats and the students who were already out of breath or reaching their limit. Some, however, looked promising. A boy with ash blonde hair and glowing red eyes had caught her attention. He was defeating enemies left and right, not even pausing to take a breath. 'He's too aggressive. His temper looks like it could be the end of him' she sighed. 

As she scanned the monitors, she saw some potential quirks. She saw a girl running down the street being chased by a robot. Although to the trained eye (Y/n) could see the girl smirking, meaning that she probably had a plan. She slid to a stop and faced the enemy, crouching down in a fighting stance. She rolled her sleeves up and her arms were filled with different tattoos. The girl seemed to have called something out and suddenly the tattoos on her arms began to glow. They shimmered brightly and all of a sudden they started to move. The pictures jumped out of their picture stage and attacked the robot, reducing him to parts. The girl cheered for herself and continued running.

(Y/n) overheard the heroes talking about that girl and how amazing her quirk was. But (Y/n) immediately saw it's flaws. "That girl is Akishi Katayama, right?" one of the heroes spoke. "Yeah, she has a good quirk, but sadly her parents took her out of the hero course at the last minute." "Does she know?" "Yes, she asked permission to take the practical exam knowing very well that her points wouldn't be counted." "Ah, such a shame."

(Y/n) overheard their conversation but her attention was quickly caught by a flash of green. She looked at the monitor and saw Midoriya, scrambling around the city in search for more robots. 'That kid is hopeless. Why did he even bother taking the exam?' She thought.

"I think it's time for the big finale!" Mr. Nezu said excitedly. He pressed a button and the whole arena started to shake. The monitor room shook slightly, causing some items to shake and fall. Suddenly, a massive green robot that was taller than the buildings appeared on the monitors. (Y/n) opened both eyes and watched curiously at how the students were running in the opposite direction. She sighed disappointingly and got up from her seat to get a drink of water from the water dispenser in the corner of the room. She started to fill her paper cup when the heroes quietly gasped at the scene before them. (Y/n) walked back to her seat while looking up at what the rest of the heroes were gasping about. She quickly saw what they were worried about, a brown-haired girl was trapped under some fallen debris caused by the machine. (Y/n) wanted to feel worried but she didn't know how it felt. If things got bad the teachers would stop the exam and with that thought in her mind she relaxed in her chair sipping at her water.

The machine was getting closer to the girl and no one has moved or done anything. "Mr. Nezu..." (Y/n) spoke, "What about that girl?" She casually said, receiving stares from some of the pro heroes in front of her. "We needn't worry about her. Look" Mr. Nezu pointed up at a screen. (Y/n) looked up and saw that Midoriya had jumped into the air and punched the robot with such force, that the machine was forced to stop and crumble. (Y/n) raised an eyebrow and sipped at her water 'That kid really does know how to fool someone doesn't he?'

The exam had ended with a few minor injuries excluding Midoriya, who had broken 3 of his limbs. The rest of the students had gone home to wait until the results were sent. (Y/n) had walked around the school for a while to enjoy what little free time she had left until she was forced to come home and face her parents. Although she was a little curious on how Midoriya was doing, seeing that he could have killed himself trying the save that brunette.
