The day had finally come! Felicia and Elias were getting married. The whole house had been cleaned from top to bottom. The garden had beautiful flowers, strings of lace had been hung around all the stair rails and balconies.
Felicia had a special team of stylists and makeup artists, helping her prepare.
Everyone in the house was in such a good mood, it almost didn't seem like work to be cooking and making sure that the guest quarters were ready for those staying over.
Felicia was sitting in front of her mirror, smiling, but I could tell that her nerves were starting to get the best of her.
I lightly knocked on the door before entering.
She looked over her shoulder and welcomed me into her room.
"How are you feeling?" I asked.
"My stomach is in knots." she breathed, adding a light laugh afterwards.
"It's a big step, but you're marrying your best friend. A guy you've wanted your whole life."
She nodded, taking in a deep breath.
"You and your brother are close, right?" she asked.
"Sure, we're twins."
"How would he feel if you married his best friend?"
"Pissed." I laughed. "He and Matt are like brothers. It'd be like incest for him. But at the same time, he'd know to respect my relationship."
"Drew respects my relationship, but we're all we have. It's been just us for so long. I feel that I'm leaving him with no one."
"In a way, he's really gaining a brother. He and Elias seem very close. Now he'll really be a brother, and it guarantees that you'll all be together forever."
"Oh man, an eternity with those two, now I'm really having second thoughts."
She stood, taking in another deep breath.
"Alright, I have to start getting ready. They are both sticklers for punctuality."
She went to shower, so I waited for her in her room. Not in a creepy way, but I was supposed to stay with her while the makeup artists and hair stylists did their thing.
When she was out, I helped her pain her toenails while her team took care of everything else.
After I finished with that, I began preparing her wedding dress.
It had a long lace train with beads woven into it. Pearls decorated the bust and the shoulder straps. It truly was a beautiful dress.
Suddenly, there was squealing at her bedroom door.
Felicia's bridesmaids flooded in with hugs and compliments. I was wondering where they were.
They was 5 girls, all wearing black dresses.
They crowded around Felicia, snapping photos and doing the final touches. They helped her into her wedding dress, making sure to snap more photos.
I took over the camera to get them all together before they prepared to walk her downstairs.
My heart was pounding in excitement. I hadn't been to a wedding in a long time.
I hurried to my room to put on a different dress and to make sure that Emilia was ready also.
Guadalupe had already taken care of her and had laid out my dress.
Andrew passed by my room and rapped his knuckles against the wood.
