Feeling guilty because of your sin?
Some of you may be too proud to say so, but trust me, everyone sins.
So, let's talk forgiveness.
What is forgiveness to you? Excusing a friend's mistake of losing your phone, or forgiving someone who hurt you in the past?
What if I told you forgiveness was something so much more?
Don't believe me? Allow me to explain.
Romans 3: 23-26 (ESV) says:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
These specific verses within the book of Romans explain everything clearly. Everyone has sinned, and has fallen short of the glory of God. Yet, through Jesus Christ, those sins are excused, forgiven, and forgotten. Isn't that wonderful to know?
Jesus came to Earth, a gift from God. God sent him because he loves us. (John 3:16-17) Personally, I couldn't imagine giving up my only child for the sake of humanity, but God loved us enough to do just that!
Jesus lived a life on this Earth as an example of the perfect child of God, and left this Earth as a Savior.
I can't imagine the pain and suffering that he went through throughout his life and in his death, but even on the cross as he took his last breath, he forgave us.
Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. (Luke 23:34)
Then, on the 3rd day, he rose! He rose from the grave, proving his point and securing our forgiveness.
Looking for forgiveness? Run to Jesus! His arms are wide open, waiting for you.
A/N: I know this is a rather short chapter, but I feel that I have proved my point, even with the few words that I have used.
