Transformers Prime/Animated Crossover

Tfp tfa Prowl crossover.

"Ratchet to Optimus, do you read?" Ratchet said over the com.

"Loud and clear, is there any trouble?" Optimus asked over the com.

"There was a... an issue with the groundbridge... you'll have to drive back to base when you're ready. I don't think the groundbridge will be functioning any time soon..." Ratchet replied.

"Understood. I will inform Bulkhead. Do you know what the problem with the groundbridge is?" Optimus asked.

"There was an explosion-a mild explosion-no one was hurt. I'm not sure what caused it," Ratchet told him.

"I see... well it is a good thing no one was injured. I will return soon," Optimus responded.

Ratchet acknowledged this and then turned to the groundbridge. It would need a lot of work...  He walked over to the smoking debris under the groundbridge arch.  He leaned down to examine the bridge when something in the rubble caught his eye...

"By the All-Spark!" he exclaimed.

Bumblebee and Arcee rushed over.
"What is it?!" Arcee asked worriedly. 

Ratchet leaned closer and moved some rubble aside. Under it shined something gold... or gold painted. Ratchet brushed it off slightly revealing an Autobot symbol!

Arcee gasped when she saw it and Bumblebee buzzed excitedly and confused.

"I'm not sure," Ratchet replied to Bumblebee's question.

"It's an Autobot but... we're the only 'bots on earth. Who is this?!" Arcee asked as Ratchet worked on freeing the mystery Autobot from the rubble.

It was a mech. He was gold and black and slim in build. He wore a blue visor over his eyes and had a wheel above each foot like Arcee. He was covered in dust and scratches undoubtedly from the blast and had a few gashes on him, most concerning was the one on his head that bleed a little.

"I need to get him to the medical bay," Ratchet said picking him up and carrying him to the med-berth. Ratchet laid the gold and black 'bot down and scanned his vitals. "He's still online thankfully," Ratchet told Arcee and Bumblebee who walked over and curiously looked over the unfamiliar mech.

"Any idea where he came from?" Arcee asked.

Ratchet shrugged. "He must have been transported by the groundbridge. It was malfunctioning so technically he could be from anywhere," Ratchet explained. Bumblebee nodded.

A few minutes passed and Ratchet turned his attention to the rather deep cut in the 'bot's head. It was then that Optimus Prime and Bulkhead returned to the base. Their paint was dull with the layer of dust that covered them from their drive back through the sandy desert. 

Optimus transformed and looked at the groundbridge. He hadn't been sure of what to expect. He didn't know if Ratchet was understating the explosion over the com so not to alarm him too much but the explosion really was minimal compared to other groundbridge explosions. Optimus turned to see the other Autobots and he saw the gold and black 'bot on the med-berth. His eyes widened a little and he walked over to them.

Bulkhead transformed and looked at the smoldering rubble of the groundbridge before noticing the new 'bot as well.

"Who is he?" Optimus asked as he leaned down to observe the 'bot.

"That's what we've been trying to figure out... I was hoping that you'd have some sort of idea as to who he is," Ratchet replied a little disappointed.

Optimus sighed. "I'm afraid I do not... where did you find him?" he asked.

Bumblebee buzzed and beeped explaining to Optimus.

Ratchet nodded. "He was just lying there in the rubble... luckily he doesn't seem to have sustained any serious injuries from the explosion, save for the fact that he's still unconscious," Ratchet added to Bumblebee's explanation.

Optimus nodded, thinking over the situation. "Well, then... we must wait for our guest to wake. In the mean time, have you uncovered any clues as to what caused this explosion?"

Ratchet shook his head. "I haven't the slightest idea," he said and walked over to his computer to continue his investigation of the malfunction.

Well this was way longer than I thought it would be 😳. Lol guess I'll make a short book out of it?! Haha I had fun writing this though! I'm gonna end this episode and start writing the next part then!!
