"Hey babe, how was your day?" Dylan said happily into his phone.
"It sucked." You sighed, burying your face in the pillow you had been clutching to your chest. Dylan was quiet for a second.
"I'm sorry, babe. Do you need anything? I'll be home soon." Dylan asked gently. You didn't reply, and he nodded even though you didn't see.
"Alright, how about a surprise?" He said, slightly enthusiastically. You pulled your face out of the pillow.
"A surprise?" You asked. Dylan nodded.
"Yep. I'm gonna go for a second because we're going through a toll and I can't have my phone out, but I'll call you soon, okay?"
"Yeah, sure." You mumbled, hanging up and burying your face in the pillow again. A few minutes later your phone chimed. You grabbed it and saw a message from Dylan, so you opened it.
You were met with a video of him holding bags of food from your favorite restaurant, with a big goofy smile on his face. You couldn't help yourself, laughing and setting your phone down.
