"I keep you safe, you keep me wild."

After a few hours of crying and draining myself, I woke up from the sound of the front door closing.

My head twitched awake, Jungkook's shoulder bone no longer feeling soft against my moving head. I groaned in pain before focusing on the man who just came in through the door.

I looked up and twisted myself in the couch to get a better look at him. His whole body was covered in sweat and his eyes looked crazy. I've never seen him like that and, I hated to admit it, it was freaking me out.

Jungkook stirred next to me, but he was still sound asleep. Not even a hurricane could wake him up.

"What happened?" I said softly, my eyes scanning all along his body.

His muscles were tense and the veins in his arms were popping out. It looked like he had run a marathon. His breath was heavy, and he took a second to respond when he would catch his breath.

"Didn't you take Jungkook's car? Why are you so out of breath?" I asked again, still waiting patiently for his answer.

He came closer to me and placed both of his hands on either side of my face after he finally calmed down. He knelt to the floor, so he could by eye level with me since I was kneeling on the couch.

"His car ran out of a gas, so I had to run to a gas station and run back. It wasn't an easy trip," he laughed breathlessly.

I nodded, understanding, but at the same time very eager to know what happened. I stayed studying him as he continued to look at me with caring eyes.

"You don't need to worry about Jordan now. Especially with the whole staying here thing," he paused to take another breath.

"We had him buy a last-minute plane ticket, so he can go to a really great rehabilitation center. I sent him off just a little while ago. Then, the car ran out of gas on my way back and had to run a few miles to refill it."

"I'm glad you're okay," I said honestly.
"Jordan's not here anymore?"

He shook his head and gave me a small, rectangular smile.

"No. He chose a path of sobriety, and he figured the best way he could would be to get away from any threat here. If he goes to a place he doesn't know personally, the less tempted he is to leave rehab since he doesn't know anyone there."

"You-you guys didn't fight?"

He hesitated, only for a second, but it wasn't enough for me to catch the darkness that shielded his eyes.

"We yelled, but no physical altercation. Our argument pushed him to go."

I nodded, taking a few moments to process everything.

Could it be? Jordan gone, and I can live there freely? I don't have to be paranoid if he's watching me from the corner?

"Where did he go, and how long?" I bit my lip.

Jungkook stirred next to me again, this time both of our attention was placed on the sleeping man. The snoring started, and I couldn't help but let out a giggle.

"He said he knew of this religious commune down in South America. He had heard about it from someone at the hospital. They don't use any technology, or anything materialistic. I guess it sends you back into thinking what you really need most is you and your environment."
