late september, 1992

'victoria, love, i think we've done enough studying today' harry said as he was sprawled out on my bed while i leaned against it and read my notes over for the hundredth time

'i guess you're right, what do you wanna do now?' i asked him as I went over to him and laid next to him on the bed

'can i ask you something?' he asked me

i sent him a soft smile and nodded,'yeah, you know you don't have to ask me'

'would you like to go to the dance with me? as a date?' he asked, and blushed a little bit as a smile crept up on his cheeks and his dimples were prominent

'yes, harry, i would love to' answered him with a grin, thankful that he had asked me as my feelings for him were growing at a rapid pace

he smiled and engulfed me in a hug while in a muffled voice saying,'you will never believe how happy that makes me, love'

i smiled back with happiness shining through my smile

'so what do you wanna do now, victoria? it's all up to you' harry said as we left my room to go outside since it got stuffy in there and steve was home

'you're choice, hazza. now it's your turn to choose and not me!' i said with a giggle

he thought for a moment when his face lit up,'i know where we're going to go. i'm going to take you on a date!!-' he said excitedly,'i'll be back here in an hour and we'll go to dinner together; what do ya say?' he asked me impatiently

'that'd be perfect, harry. see you in an hour' i told him as we walked to his car and he sent me a soft yet beautiful smile

'wear something short' he said with a wink, and with that he drove off and was out of my sight

i smiled to myself and went back inside to the house to get ready

about twenty minutes had passed and i had taken a shower and gotten my hair ready, but still not figured out what i was going to wear

i sighed and looked through my closet to see if there was anything i could wear, but couldn't really find anything

then i finally found a simple low-cut black dress that fit me perfectly

i sat back down on my bed and thought about what makeup to wear, when there was a knock on the front door

at first i ignored it, figuring steve would take it, but when the knocking didn't stop i went to the door to see who it was

i opened the front door to reveal richie?

he was wearing a white t-shirt with black pants and stood with his hands in his pockets

'richie? what're you doing here?' i asked him

'can i come in?' he asked me as i opened the door for him to come inside

we walked back to my room as he sat down on my bed and watched me put on some makeup

it was silent

'where are you going?' he asked in a low voice and i sighed, not wanting to mention harry as all i wanted for him to leave

he asked again and i turned around to face him,'richie, why are you here?'

he sighed, knowing his truths would be uncovered now,'i was going to ask you tomorrow, but i just couldn't wait.. will you be my date to the dance?'

oh god

'no, richie. i'm going with someone else that actually cares about me' i sighed, yet another time

he quickly shot up from the bed, anger radiating off of him,'what? who? you didn't have a date three hours ago! and i so care for you!'

he was fuming as i answered him,'when we dated you treated me like shit. you left me for new york where you cheated on me. you hurt me so much emotionally and i'm not going to sit there and take it anymore! and before you ask, no, we can't be friends because, quite frankly, I don't want to be anywhere near you so get the hell out of my house before i kick your ass!'

if i hadn't known richie so extremely well, i wouldn't have been able to see the deep hurt behind his serious angry expression. his fists were balled up and his knuckles white. he wasn't happy

'victoria. i treated you like an angel. you were the one that left me for mike and made steve beat me up! you. hurt. me. if it wasn't for that dickhead harry we-' as soon as he mentioned harry i was done. 'get out, richie. i said get out before i call the cops!!' i screamed at him, wanting him to get out of my eyesight as soon as possible

when i looked up again, he had already run out the house

i sighed as i finished getting ready for me and harry's date

he was a genuine and nice guy, and i adored him so much for that and a lot more

i just hope richie won't ruin another one of my relationships
