Belina sighed as she brushed some hair from her face and stepped into the café where she had arranged to meet Cesc; she was on her lunch break and she was a little nervous about seeing her ex-boyfriend again after seven years.

The brunette was dressed in a cream saradon bodysuit with cross front and black 90's leather mini skirt paired with black heeled sandals; she brushed some hair from her face as she looked around before she spotted Cesc sitting at one of the back tables waiting for her.

Belina took a deep breath as she stared at her ex-boyfriend as she shouldered her black shoulder bag with front pocket as she walked over to him; the footballer’s head snapped up as she cleared her throat and looked at her shocked when he realised that it was her.

“Bel?” Cesc asked as he stared at his ex-girlfriend as she smiled and sat down, she set down her bag knowing that this wasn’t going to be pleasant; they hadn’t parted on the best of terms when Cesc had dumped her for being pregnant.

“Cesc,” Belina said as she looked at him, she found it strange that they were going this; she had thought that the footballer wouldn’t be interested in seeing her again.

Cesc swallowed as he stared speechless for a moment before he remembered why he had asked to meet her; he was still upset that his friends hadn’t told him sooner but he was glad that she had agreed to meet with him after Gerard had talked her into it.

“You look good,” Cesc said awkwardly knowing that this wasn’t going to be straight forward, he had to take things easily if he wanted access to his son; he knew that he had a lot to make up for with the both of them.

“Gracias…” Belina said as she glanced around, she felt awkward talking to him especially since she knew why he was doing it; he wanted to see his son and nothing more.

“We have a son?” Cesc said as he remembered the little boy, he didn’t know much about his son and he wished that he had paid more attention the two times he had seen him; there was nothing that he wouldn’t give for a chance to get to know him.

“Alejandro Fàbregas Gomez,” Belina confirmed making Cesc look at her taken back that she had given their son his surname; he had always assumed that Belina would cut him completely out the child’s life after what he had done.

The brunette shifted awkwardly as she watched Cesc, she could see that this wasn’t going to be a one off and she wasn’t sure how she felt about that.

“Tell me about him,” Cesc pleaded as he looked at his ex-girlfriend knowing that he was going to be there for his child; he didn’t know what he would do if she turned him away, he didn’t want to take this through the courts.

Belina sighed as she crossed her arms and eyed him wondering what he wanted from all of this, the brunette had a sinking feeling that this wasn’t going to end well for her.

“His birthday is in December… he likes playing football, his favourite player is Messi and he’s currently in second year of primary school,” Belina said as she talked about their son, she found it odd and she glanced at Cesc who nodded his head as he absorbed the information that he had been given.

The brunette watched him wondering what was going to happen now, she swallowed as Cesc’s brown eyes watched her closely before he looked at her and sighed.

“I want to meet him… I want to be a part of his life,” Cesc said as he watched her, he didn’t want to miss out anymore; he had six year old son and he needed to be a part of his life.

“I know what I did to you seven years ago was horrible… but I am here now and I’m not going to mess up again,” Cesc said as he watched the brunette, he hoped that she would warm up to the idea of letting him see his son; he wanted to show that he could be a father even if he had made a mess of things all those years ago.

Belina sighed as she stared at her ex-boyfriend, she didn’t want Alejandro to get hurt if Cesc changed his mind and pushed the little boy out of his life; she knew that she had to think of her son above all else.

“How can I trust you? Cesc… I can’t let you into Alex’s life just so in a few months you can turn your back on him again,” Belina said shaking her head, she wished that there was something that she could do to ensure that she could protect Alejandro from getting hurt.

Cesc sighed as he ran a hand through her hair, he knew that she was going to be protective of their son; he wished that there was some way that he could win her around.

“I know that there is nothing that I can say to make you believe me… but I’ve spoken with my lawyer, I’ll do anything Belina,” Cesc said as he looked at his ex-girlfriend, he didn’t want to go down that route but if she tried to keep him away from their son then he was willing to do anything.

Belina took a deep breath as she unlocked her front door and allowed Cesc to step inside, she knew that she was going to regret this and she had a feeling that his girlfriend was going to be less than welcoming when it came to her and Alejandro.

The footballer looked around the home that she had lived in for four years now, he glanced around looking for possible signs that he had competition from any possible partners that Belina had.

“Alex should be home soon,” Belina said as she stared at him, she showed him into the living room and sighed as she sat down nervously; she was having someone drop Alejandro off home and she knew he would be home soon.

Cesc nodded his head as he sat down, his brown eyes still looking around the room as he tried to figure out if it was just Belina and Alejandro that lived in the house.

“So is it just you and Alex that live here?” Cesc asked, he felt something bubble inside of him at the thought of someone else being with the brunette and playing father to his son.

Belina nodded her head, she didn’t want to admit that she hadn’t had another boyfriend since they had broken up; being a single mother made dating difficult and she had never really moved on from her relationship with Cesc.

The sound of a car door slamming made Belina look at Cesc before she pushed herself to her feet and headed for the front door; she took a deep breath as she allowed her son into the house.

Alejandro stopped as he stared at Cesc, he looked at him confused wondering why the footballer was in his home; Belina sighed as she rested a hand on her son’s head as she wondered how he would take this.

“Alex… you remember Cesc,” the brunette said as she glanced nervously at the footballer, she wasn’t sure what he was expecting to happen but she doubted that the six year old would be welcoming after what she had told him about his father.

Alejandro glared at the footballer before he rushed passed his mother and disappeared upstairs, he slammed his bedroom door after him so that he could be away from Cesc.

“That went well,” Belina said as she looked at Cesc, she had told him that she had told Alejandro that he was his father and briefly about why he had never seen him before; she just hoped that he would warm to the idea soon about Cesc being around.
