15: My Lord is a Laptop Screen
Author: Tommy Fawcett
My lord is a laptop screen
lit piercingly against the frustrating early morning.
Still dark, I wander through
corridors of news outlets and
beauty blogs, I crawl through
a labyrinth of entertainment
and those who crush laughter,
those who provoke laughter,
those who laugh but never give
laughter.
Once I stumble on a wave
of articles I digress.
I pretend, I impress the wounded
birthers of the new world technicians.
I wonder why, just why do adults
have such a hard time interpreting
us,
and such an easy time passing us by?
