10. BOSS' LAST WISH

"Yes I know boss Mia" Principle Lindsey said with that cheekily, yet mysteriously smile of hers.

"Does that mean that you know about Da--"

"Yes, I know about you, Damon and Jane."

"Are you going to send us to jail now as we were part of the most dangerous gangs in LA?" I worriedly asked, going through our escaping options already.

"what? of course not!" She said it as like I offended her.

I am hella confused now!

"I am confused," I confessed.

"Well, you should be." She chuckled.

"Well can you please explain..?" I said sarcastically.

"Fiesty as Boss described you." She nodded approvingly. "You see, I am not a normal principle.." she pauses dramatically, "..I am a gang leader as well"

"What?" Are my ears working properly?, I am hella shocked.

"Boss and I used to date but then we separated ways and each one of us build his own gang in the different city." She explained. " we lost touch for years but eventually we reconnected again and when he found you he kept rambling about you a lot." She then chuckled, pausing for a moment as she was replaying a memory then continued, "He always felt like you are his own child. He loved you a lot."

somehow her words made me smile a sad smile remembering Boss. I honestly miss him.

"When he found Damon and Jane as well he felt like he made up his own family with you three, his children. he felt blessed to have you all and.." she paused taking a deep breath. "when he was caught. He managed to make a phone call to me..." She said with a painful look and tears forming in her eyes.

"you are in jail? and what do you mean but it's not like the previous times.." Lindsey asked frightened for what will happen to him. ".. I mean how did that happen you are always careful"

"Lindsey.. I don't have enough time just hear me out!" Boss ordered softly and tired.

There was silence for a moment and Boss took it as a sign to say whatever he prepared to say.

"I sent my three kids to NY away from this shit and the police. please, you have to protect them for me and don't make them fall in any trouble because they tend to attract trouble and please make them stay as far as possible from gang stuff" He paused sighting. "I want them to finish their senior year and have good grades to be something big in the future a..and for Mia you know how much she hates it there and have a bad past so please try and make sure she is ok and tell her to protect Damon and Jane and never get weak again or let anyone bring her down she is a strong confident woman and she has to always remember it."

"Don't worry Boss I will protect them as my own kids. you know I never loved anyone except you and we didn't get the chance to get married so they will be our kids that we never got the chance to have ." By now tears were flooding out of her eyes. It seemed like a goodbye, a sad last one.

"You now I never loved anyone except you, too, my love and will always do after my death. thank you for making me the happiest man throughout my whole life since I met you. I love you and will always do. goodbye my love." Boss said between sobs quietly.

Lindsey related the scene to me.

"You know he never cried since he got involved in gang stuff and this was the only time that he cried since then. Because it was his end of life and he felt very vulnerable." Lindsey said while wiping her tears.
