"Good day, Loki son of Frost Giant King Laufey, and Esther daughter of the warrior of the Nine, Tyr... It is certainly an honor to have beings such as yourselves in my presence," she says with a voice even more elegant than Loki's; the accent so smooth―like a river―that what she says almost goes completely over my head.

"How do you know so much about us?" I ask.
"Centuries of study, child. The Realms have been a fascinating subject for me since I was young." She tilts her head to the side just a little. "I understand you have something for me."
Loki and I exchange a look. "Only if you can guarantee its safety and discretion," I answer.
She almost smiles just slightly in delight. "Follow me."
She takes us through the inside temple that looks as old as my lover boy, and waves her hand to open a bookshelf like magic before taking us down as the floor transforms into stairs before our eyes like a kaleidoscope, making Loki's tricks look like child's play.
We descend into the depths before she opens up a secure vault and we step into a dark room with a pedestal at the center. There sits a golden relic in the shape of an eye that hangs on a chain; a necklace with various moving parts and intricate details incorporated into the design.
The three of us walk around it as a single light shines on the item.
"The Eye of Agamotto is older than this temple and was created by our first Sorcerer Supreme made from materials that were both taken from other worlds and created by magic. It is powerful enough to contain something as remarkable as the Infinity Stone you carry..." she says when we have stopped.
I observe the carefully built necklace before me and trust her judgment. I look over at Loki who nods at me once for permission.
I lift my hand to chest level and my palm faces upward. My eyes turn emerald as I use the power I have to extract the gem from my being and watch it appear above my palm, floating there as it glows bright green, shimmering like a star.
The ancient woman opens up the eye in the center; the sphere that moves to allow something to be placed inside. I let the gem float before I carefully move it into place and watch the eye close over it. I may be able to hold two gems but not for very long. This one would have made my flesh dissolve and kill me within a few months. Here it will be safe. A power this great is too much for one person to wield.
