"y/n, your quirk, I haven't quite figured it out yet but you're good. Simply, your points are good too. Wanna be on my team?" Todoroki asks me bluntly, looking up at me. His words hardly hold any warmth or appreciation in them, so it's unsurprising that his face is blank as well. 

I look around at my situation, biting my lip. Everyone has gravitated away from me besides Todoroki. Even Katsuki forgets about me and is talking to Kirishima instead. I look back at Todoroki, and he's looking at me as well. It's an intense moment, but I feel backed into a corner and I accept the outstretched hand reaching to me. (A/N: only figuratively lmao) There's also a small part of me that accepts it to prove something to someone. Maybe Katsuki, maybe Todoroki, maybe myself, and maybe all three. I want to show Katsuki that I can do it on my own, and that I can be a different person without him, too. I want to team with Todoroki because he is so confusing, and I want to impress him with my quirk and my brains. I want him to stop being pissed at me, and maybe what I said before about working well together will actually prove to be true. I want to show myself that no matter what I will prove myself to be a worthy hero.

"Yes, but this time, I have a plan," I say with confidence, and he nods, flashing a small smile to show he trusts my ambitions.  

We gather the rest of our team, Momo and Iida, who seem enthusiastic for the match. I start to explain all the little ideas that I came up with in order to put ourselves as far ahead as we can during the match. 

"First, we'll change our headbands backwards so nobody knows which number is which," Todoroki nods at my first idea, and Momo listens intently. "I think Todoroki should be the 'horse' since he's obviously thin but still has good offense that he can easily take advantage of from that position. Momo and I should be reinforcements since I can manipulate myself and other elements, and Momo can create things too. Since we're similar, we'll be on the side for even coverage. Iida, you'll be in front and because of your strength you'll probably be the best to carry Todoroki the most, also you have to be open for a quick escape."

"One condition," Todoroki states, and all three pairs of eyes look to him, "we go for the ten million. When it's least expected and when there's the easiest opening. Iida, you're gonna need to go as fast as you possibly can, so Midoriya can't act for a quick defense."

"Right!" Iida agrees. 

"I'll make pairs of roller skates so we can glide around and move easier, any other ideas anyone?" Momo asks, and looks around at us. 

"Nothing here," I add, and nobody else speaks either.

Midnight tells us that the fifteen minutes of preparation time is up, and to get in position. Todoroki ties the headband around his forehead, and his hair flops around it.
