C H A P T E R 3 1_

Someone else is firing at me now as we take out as many men as we can and Cap throws his shield out to kill the one aimed at me as I send my hand out behind him, catching a gunman and split his body in half, throwing both pieces into other soldiers as hard as I can. Rogers and I switch places and I put out both hands, freezing three men solid and he takes out his rifle, firing at them before I send their bodies out and create a barrier again to block gunfire from us.

The soldiers on our right send bullets into the battle grounds and taking out men with skill I wasn't expecting but then again there's a reason why these soldiers have survived so long.

A grenade lands at our feet and I pick up, sending it back out at our enemy to let it explode into three of them before they can jump out of the way.

Steve takes my arm and we duck behind a barrier that our soldiers have claimed just before a bullet from their modified tank blows us into oblivion.

I cringe when my feet hit the ground and we look over at that monster.

"That thing just took out three of us with one blow!" Ford says as he eyes it.

"Stark, we could use your help," Steve says into the communicator.

TONY:

"Yeah I'm a little preoccupied, can you give me a minute?" I say as I fly right past the bunker with the turret on top, too close for them fire at me and I send a repulsor shot into the core. Bullets try to take me out but they either bounce off or miss. I bank and do another bombing run as Natasha runs to take out the gunmen. As I fly by I spot one of the more heavily armed soldiers come out and point something rather large at me and fires. I don't even have time to react before the shot hits my leg and sends an electric current through me.

I grunt as the alarms in my suit go off and I try to move so I don't crash but I can't, the entire system locking up.

"JARVIS?" I ask but there's no answer and my repulser's wont shut down no matter what I―oh there we go.

Oh wait... no bad!

I cry out as my body flies down with lightning speed and smashes into the head of the Hydra tank before hitting the ground, an explosion occurring because of the shot that was almost out the barrel of that thing but instead it blows itself up a the head.

I am lying flat on my back against the snow as I sigh. My systems are just now coming back online as I try to move again.

"That did it... thanks," I hear Rogers say.

I roll my eyes as everything starts up again and I sit up. "Natasha... let's take out the ones with the stun guns first... got it?"

NATASHA:

"Sorry, a little busy," I sass him as I run forward, placing my foot on the tree as I sticks and I fling my body around, landing on the soldier who was chasing me and slamming his body to the ground. A friend of his comes to help but I send a kick to his abdomen so hard he falls back and cringes.
