I was so happy Esther suggested lunch because I couldn't hold my curiosity any longer

She has all the descriptions of Fade

But isn't anything like her

Fade, who Selene and apparently Esther know as Ade walked ahead with Selene while Esther walked alongside me

"Hi Davis" she said and I focused my attention on her
"Esther, I'm sorry for Selene's demeanour at the pool, she's usually sweet, she was just having a moment" I said and she smiled
"Its no problem"

By now I should cancel everything with her but I still need to investigate this Ade of a girl.

God how my hand is itching me to pull the damn trigger.

I took Esther's palm in mine and we walked together into the hotel's restaurant. We chose a table for four and settled down
"Waiter!" Ade called and Selene jumped in excitement making me to smile
"I'd like moi moi , salad without mayonnaise and grilled chicken easy on the pepper" she said and raised her brows at Selene
"I want the same thing but my salad should have Mayo" selene said and the waiter wrote it down
"What of you sir?" The waiter asked and I smiled
"I'll have what the lady beside me is having" I said which made Esther to blush and Selene frown
"I want Amala, with ewedu and gbegiri. The fish should be salted while grilling not before or after and take it easy on the oil in the stew" Esther said and the waiter nodded
"We'll be with you in twenty minutes" the waiter said and walked away

"So Mr Mahone" Ade said and leaned closer towards the table
"We need to talk" she said and I smirked

Its about time you gave up your Ade mask and showed your real face fade

"Esther can you take Selene to the park outside?" I asked and Selene stared at me in shock
"Dad!" She whined and I pulled out five thousand naira notes from my pocket and handed it to Selene

"Sweetie have a little fun, when you get to know Esther you'll like her" I said and she rolled her eyes
"Seriously dad!" Esther and Selene stood up and I pulled Selene towards me

"Be a good girl for daddy?" I whispered and she hardened her gaze
"No"
"I know you will" I whispered confidently before pecking her nose and staring at Esther
"Make sure she doesn't have strawberry ice cream, she's allergic" I said and Selene stomped her feet
"Dad!" I giggled at Selene and ushered them out
"See you in twenty minutes" Esther said and I made sure Selene wasn't looking before I blew a kiss at her.

I stared at Ade and waited for her to talk before she finally spoke up
"What do you want?" She asked and I smirked
"Fade, Fade, Fade" I said and she raised her eyebrows
"Why will you want to fade?" She asked and I clenched my jaw
"I meant what do you want with Esther?" She asked and I sighed

I hope I don't catch feelings for this said Esther with the way I'm going
"I want to be with her" I said and she furrowed her eyebrows
"At the expense of your daughter's happiness?" She asked and I sighed
"Ms Ade my daughter's and my personal life is none of your business with due all respect" I said and she laughed dryly making my blood boil
"Oh really?" She asked and I smiled
"Really" she hissed before picking up the menu and playing with it

Gosh I can't hide this any longer

"Give it up Fade, I know its you so just cut the crap and come out clean the easy way or the hard way" I said and her eyes widened in shock before she burst out laughing
"You have totally lost it" she said and I groaned in frustration and pulled her into the toilet
"Now you listen here Fade" I slammed her into the wall and pinned her with my two arms
"We are onto you, and I will be so happy as I watch you hang" I whispered each word and I starred at her in shock as she slapped me
"How dare you?" She asked before pushing me away from her and walking away.

Selene and Esther were already at the table and she turned ti Esther
"I'm leaving" she said and Esther frowned
"Why?" Esther asked and she glared at me with wide teary eyes
"I lost my appetite" she said and Selene held her hand
"Come on Made please stay" Selene pleaded as Ade gently pried her fingers of herself.
"See you later" she said before walking out of the restaurant
