He studies my expression and bites his lip subtly. "Just one last kiss?"
I lean forward and place a tender kiss on Alex's lips.
Now that I'm in a couple with Adam, it may be the last time I ever kiss Alex's soft lips.
"Goodnight Islanders!" I cheer, jumping into a different bed. Adam's bed.
I tuck myself under the covers and look around. To my left is Georgia and Niall, and to my right is Alex and Rosie.
The lights flicker off, and I shut my eyes, but I can feel Adam's presence beside me. I open my eyes, and I'm immediately met with his. "You like sharing a bed?"
"It's nice." I acknowledge whilst Adam wraps an arm around my middle and pulls me into his chest. "You like sharing?"
"I like you." He mumbles. "You take up less room than Kendall."
"You're such a boy." I giggle, trying to keep quiet. There's silence for a while and my eyes flutter closed, but I'm still fully aware of my surroundings. I can hear mine and Adam's breath synchronise with each other's. There's no other sound.
No sound except for the giggle of Rosie in the bed beside me and a laugh from Alex. Then, the squeaking sound of a kiss runs through the air.
Opening my eyes again, Adam whispers to me - "You look amazing."
"You aren't gross to be fair." I try to smile, but the overwhelming emotion of jealousy runs through my blood.
"... you don't know how much I want to kiss you right now."
I sigh. As much as I want to, I kissed Alex less than an hour ago. "I'm gonna get some sleep."
The next morning ...
It's definitely hit me this morning. The sound of Rosie's giggle last night really hurt. Maybe I'm not ready to move on just yet.
I've avoided Alex this morning, even though he's tried to approach me a few times.
"I've got a text!" Alex announces. "Islanders,
its time to stretch out and explore some different positions as you will be doing yoga this morning! #ChangingPosition."
We all rush to the grass to see some yoga mats and some cue cards. Adam, my partner, decides to host the challenge. The first position is revealed:
"Oh, what!" I gasp, seeing that we have to do the down-facing dog.
Everyone gets accustomed to the position. Looking to the side of me, my head is filling with blood. Still, I can make out Rosie wobbling on top of Alex, and she falls flat on the mat.
We go through a few more positions. There is one where my head is 2cm from Adam's. During it, Adam leans forward to peck my lips, but puts us off of balance completely, and we fall flat on our faces.
After the challenge ends, Dani and Jack get a text. They're going on a first date!
I start to braid Dani's hair whilst stood in the dressing room. She hasn't washed her hair, so Dani is adamant that it's perfect for her date.
"I'm just going to the bathroom," Rosie announces, walking away.
"Ok, she's gone." Samira watches the bathroom door close. "What's going on?"
"Between you and Adam and Alex?"
A lump forms in my throat at the sounds of their names.
"Well, like, Alex and I...." I croak, immediately breaking into tears. "I just don't know what's going on".
"Awh babe, come here."
Samira pulls me into a hug, and the tears keep flowing. My heart beats like a drum. My breathing is so irregular, it feels like I'm having a heart attack.
"Oh my god, Ella?" A voice questions. Turning to look, Rosie is stood there with a puzzled and worried expression. "Are you alright?"
"I'm sorry Rosie!" I shrug. "But I can't talk to you now."
Walking around her, I put on a jog and run out of the room. I sprint down the stairs and out of the bedroom to outside. Placing my sunglasses over my eyes so no one can see me cry, I keep my eyes firmly on the floor.
Suddenly I walk into something, or someone.
"Oh sorry, Ella ... Ella? Whats wrong?" Alex asks, bending his knees to get on the same level as me. He places a hand under my chin and lifts my eyes to look into his own. "Come here, come on."
Alex places an arm around my shoulder and guides me to the fire pit. "Ella, what's wrong?" Alex asks. "Come on, I hate seeing you upset."
I take a deep breath, and Alex's hand lifts my sunglasses and wipes a tear from my cheek. "I just ... I guess I'm confused. I didn't expect Adam to pick me at all, and I know I said that I wanted to get to know Adam ... I just miss you, that's all."
"Ell." Alex sighs, placing a hand on my bare knee. "I coupled with Rosie because I couldn't with you, and it hurt."
"I'm serious, Ella." He grins. "Rosie and I, we're good friends. And that's it. Plus she's hung up on Adam. We aren't a couple anymore, but we can still be together."
"You kissed her though?"
"No, I didn't." He defends quickly. "I'd never do that to you. Plus, I kind of hated seeing you with Adam last night."
I think I might love him ...
That night ...
"I'm literally done with you, Eyal!"
Hayley and Eyal have been fighting big style tonight, and I've tried to keep out of it. I have my own drama to deal with.
"Hey, Ella?" Adam approaches me. "Can we have a chat?"
Oh no ...
Adam pulls me away from Dani and Wes, and guides me to sit on the daybed.
"So I was having a chat with Hayley and Alex, and they told me that you got a bit upset earlier?"
"Right." I nod. "Adam, I'm so sorry. I really want to get to know you, but it was just weird to see Alex with someone else."
"I get it." Adam nods. "Ella, I'm going to wait for you. Take all the time you need, and I'll always be here no matter your decision."
Adam looks incredible tonight. His black hair is pulled back by his hair gel. His brown hazel eyes are drowning in mischief and lust. Those plump lips and framed abs are so tempting. His jeans are a few sizes too small. He certainly isn't afraid to hide himself.
"You're so perfect." I grin. "Come here."
I place a small and cute kiss on Adam's lips. I'm sure I'll regret it, but at this moment, to kiss him just seems right.
The next day ...
I walk out onto the balcony with Samira and Georgia. My head is banging, my eyes feel sore from all of the tears, and it's been so tense from mine, Hayley's and Eyal's drama.
"Girls?" Samira points. "Who's that?"
My heart skips a beat. Jumping onto the seats, two boys are sat with their legs dangling into the pool. One has tanned skin, while the other is blonde and pale.
Oh crap, not more trouble.
I'm sorry if this isn't as good as the last chapters, just revising Biology so haven't had much time Xxx
