quick a/n:

ik Alec is gay and he's with Magnus (I'm a hardcore shipper of Malec), but for this story to work, he is straight. I have nothing against the lgbtq+ community. Ik turning someone gay to straight is offensive, but I swear that's not my intention. I am simply writing an Alec Lightwood fanfic where anything can happen. Now, I hope you enjoy my story and I apologiz bc I am shit at descriptions.

Third person's point of view ( only for the prologue )

"Mother, you wanted to speak to us?" Alec Lightwood spoke as a way of greeting his mother who was seated on the office chair.

Maryse Lightwood gestured to the couch. "Sit."

"Why'd you call us here, Maryse?" Amelia asked, taking a seat beside the Raven haired boy. "If this is about the fire incident in the kitchen, I swear it wasn't me."

Alec snorted. "It was Izzy, but you still helped."

Her eyes widened at Alec, snitch. "Shut up, Lightwood."

Maryse lets out a breathy chuckle, but immediately stopped. "You and Isabelle were never good at cooking. But, that's not why I called you here. This is much more important."

Intrigued, the girl leaned forward, Alec doing the same.

"We want to strengthen our bonds with other fellow Shadowhunters. Make alliances stronger. And you two will be the key to that." Maryse spoke.

Amelia knitted hereyebrows. "The key?"

"We've arranged for you two to get married," Maryse explained.

"Wait, what?" The words sputtered from her mouth in surprise. She shook her head, "sorry, I was just surprised."

Maryse looked between the two. "You two are the best choices for this. Now, I need both your words that you'll give us your 100% cooperation."

The woman didn't even ask if they were okay with it. Frankly, they had no choice but to follow. These were orders and that's what makes them Shadowhunters. Family, orders, law.

And if this what they had to do to fulfill their duties as Shadowhunters, then so be it.

The two looked at each other as if they were having a mental conversation.

"Tell us what you need us to do-" Alec started.

"And we'll do it." Amelia finished.
