I called to talk to Shayne,"Hey babe, what's up? How's the wedding planning going?" He seemed kind of distracted, as he was speaking.

I quickly answered,"I'm fine, I didn't get a free moment to see how your day was going. I know we're on the wedding count down clock. Maybe we can get together for dinner?"

"I have something to take care of after work today, and I have plans for tonight." He didn't share what he was going to be busy doing, this evening.

I tried not to sound mistrusting, or suspicious. So I let it slide, "Okay, I love you, and I'll see you soon." I made a puckering sound, with my lips to the phone.

"I love you more, and I can't wait to see you! This office building move has been so chaotic, but worth it." He sounded extremely tired. We exchanged a few more words, and then ended our conversation.

I wonder what has him being so mysterious?

I ended my day, and met Skyler for Margaritas at the Mexican restaurant. I hoped Sabine wouldn't happen to come here for dinner.

He was at the bar when I walked in, "Hey Shayne, it's been a while. Thanks for the invitation, and congratulations on your engagement to Sabine. I guess the better man won." He smiled, with his unusual azure colored eyes, and wavy dark brown hair.

"I'm glad you could meet me. Thank you, Sabine is a special lady. I'm so happy, that she accepted my proposal." I gripped his waiting hand, and shook it.

Skyler moved over at the bar, and made room for me to sit down. I almost felt sorry for the guy. He had no idea, that I was there to give him a piece of my mind. I was very upset about the way he treated Sabine.

"I needed to get something off my chest between us." I hesitated, not quite knowing what to say.

He got the Bartenders attention, "Could you give my friend, a Margarita?"

"Go ahead, shoot, not literally" He held up his hands, defensively. He grabbed a handful of peanuts out of the bowl, that was sitting on the bar.

I'm having margaritas with Skyler? Now, I really feel guilty. He had the nerve to call me his friend. . .

"Here you are, Sir." The Bartender placed a napkin on the bar, and sat my drink on top.

"Skyler, I asked to have drinks with you, because it really bothered me, how you pained, Sabine. She actually, thought you and she had a future. Instead, you used her! I never felt that you appreciated, how exceptional she was. You didn't deserve her!" I rambled on trying to make sense. He actually, made me feel flustered.

He was looking at me, with an unreadable expression, "I feel terrible for leading Sabine on, and using her to gain information for Philip Winthrop. It's not my proudest achievement." He cupped my shoulder.

"I'm happy to hear those words come out of your mouth. Because, I really had to hold my anger in check, while she continued to date you, and give you false financial confidences about Carrington Enterprises. Mr. Thatcher knew what you were up to, and devised a plan. I didn't agree, with it from the beginning. I was in love with her, but never spoke those words out loud, even to myself. It hurt me to know the woman that I loved, was dating you." I gulped down my margarita.

"Ouch, now I really feel like a detestable person. I'm sorry for the hurt, that I caused Sabine. I owed a favor to The Winthrops, and Philip called it in. You never say no to him! I can see that you really love her, and the two of you should be together." He looked at me sincerely.
