Chapter 77: My Hound

Saturday:

"Are you feeling any better?" Dean asked as he got out of the shower. He was wearing jeans and a shield shirt, his hair still dripping.

"Yeah, I'm good," I took a drink of my coffee. Today I wore my hair in a ponytail, along with jeans and a white long sleeve shirt. I also had on the necklace that Dean had given me for Christmas. Nobody had even asked me about it yet. I was surprised Nikki hadn't been all over me about it. It was fine by me.

I was feeling better. A lot better. A few days away from thinking about all the stress in my life felt good.

Dean sat next to me, "What do you want to do today?"

I raised an eyebrow over my cup, "I don't know."

"I'm letting you pick," Dean said, "Anything you want."

"And it'll just be me and you?"

"Who would I invite?"

I shrugged, "I don't know."

"Speaking of, why wasn't I invited to go to Cabo with you?"

"It's basically her bachelorette party."

"So?"

I snorted, "You would."

"I'll party with you girls anyday,"

"Ok, back on subject," I said as we both laughed, "What I want to do today...."

I had a idea, "Can we go skiing?"

Dean shrugged, "I've never been skiing."

"I'll teach you," I jumped up.

Dean nodded, "Alright, but if I fall, don't laugh."

I smiled, "We'll have to see about that."

Dean nodded, "Ok, let me get some stuff together, then we can go."

Later......

"How do you move in these?" Dean asked in frustration as he tried sliding towards me in his skis.

I laughed in amusement as I slid over to him, "Watch," I slid over a few yards, "You try."

Dean started sliding towards me, very slowly.

I giggled, "You got it!"

Dean stopped, "I'm closer to the ski lift, you come over here."

I slid over to him, "Ok, lets get to the ski lift."

I kept pace with him as we made it over. Dean eyed it when it was our turn.

"Lets go!" I cheered as I slid to the yellow line. Dean was barely able to get there before the chair came and swept us off our feet.

"Oh Gabs, you'll be the death of me," Dean muttered.

"And you'll be the death of me, my hound," I said with a smile. I went in for a kiss, but Dean stopped me.

"We're in public."

I sighed, "I know."

"I know how attractive I look, and I know you can barely contain yourself, but you'll survive."

I decided to play along, "I'll be strong."

The end of the ride up came.

"Wait, we have to slide off?" Dean asked.

"Yeah, get ready," I slid off. Dean slid off too, clear of falling.

"Good job, I still fall once in a while," I said.
