Joseph POV

"It's been a while since you've worked out here," Seth said as he stood at the front desk of the gym working.

It was around closing time and the gym was empty. Rock music played in the background while different televisions displayed the news and sports at every corner of the gym while muted.

"Yeah I've just been swamped with work and it's easier to workout at home," I answered finishing up  my workout and placing the weights down before moving on to the treadmill to cool down. Dean had suggested we come to Seth's gym after practice and I figured it would be a good time to catch up with the guys even though I saw Dean everyday.

"How are the newbies behaving?" Seth asked from the front desk.

"You don't even want to know." I shook my head as I started walking at a medium pace on the treadmill. "They are all full of themselves and have their heads up their asses half the time. They've got a long way to go," I told him.

"So basically us ten years ago," Seth laughed.

"Nah. We weren't that bad," I shook my head.

"You're right. We were worse." Seth replied as he started putting some equipment away.

"Way worse," Dean spoke as he came back from the gym showers and with a new set of clothes from earlier.

"Whatever," I shrugged stopping the machine and walked over to my gym bag.

"Your sister called by the way," Seth said from the opposite side of the gym turning off the machines.

"Which one?" I asked rolling my eyes taking a sip of from my water bottle.

"Summer. She invited me over to your house next week for the barbecue," he replied.

"Got the invite this morning," Dean chimed in as he combed his wet hair back looking at the mirror on the front desk.

"I'm actually going there Saturday to help set up." I responded taking my hair out of the bun it was in. I had not been home since the argument with my father  a few week ago and I hadn't been in any rush to go back there any time soon.

"All I know is I can't wait to stuff my face with all that good food," Dean groaned as he rubbed his stomach.

"Thinking about it has me kinda hungry," Seth laughed as he went back to his work station.

"You gonna bring Aj with you?" Dean asked.

"I actually broke up with Aj last week," Seth replied changing the mood of the conversation quick.

"Shit." Dean replied staring at him in shock.

"Sorry man." I apologized as I knew that he had been struggling with breaking up with her for a while.

"It's whatever," He shrugged his shoulders not showing his emotions. "Are you gonna bring Paige with you?" Seth asked Dean changing the subject.

"She was coming regardless. As soon as she heard 'barbecue' she was in. She is a big foody like me. It will be the first one I bring her to," he said grinning to himself a bit.

Dean and I had been friends since sophomore year of high school, so he has been around my family for a while now. Then we met Seth freshman year of college.
