There comes a time in people's lives where they do things on impulse just because of their emotions. For me, trying to tell the truth is one of those times.

I stand up and begin to walk to towards Alex. I feel the cold floor beneath my bare foot, and I slid off the other shoes pushing it somewhere in the room with my foot.

"Alex, I need to tell you the truth, and you may not like it," I reach out to her, but she gives me saddened eyes. "I-"

"Oh please Y/N," Hayden scoffs. It's obvious he doesn't want the play to end. "Quit being so dramatic. I already know of your love for Prince Leonardo. No prince would ever want to marry such a petty person."

"No, I need to say this! Don't listen to him! Alex, this is all a hug-"

I'm push backwards, and I begin to stumble onto the bed. I look up to see Laurance jump in front of me as if to stop Hayden from progressing on hurting me.

"Don't fucking touch her!"

"This is exactly why I ran away!" Alex yells, and soon enough all the yelling is stopped by the sound of the heavy door being slammed shut.

Hayden glares at Taryn, and she instantly runs out of the room. He then glares at me pointing his finger. I begin to inch closer to the bed when he begins getting closer.

"Listen here, you will not tell her the truth," Hayden's eye look like they're going to pop out of his head, and his face is red. That's when he snaps in Laurance's direction, and I swallow hard. "And you, don't you ever disrespect me ever again. And get your damn emotions in check! I slapped your sister, and I'm an afraid to slap you. You're a prince Laurance, and she's an orphan. I refuse to let you tarnish your title because of her."

Once Hayden leaves an uneasy silence falls into the atmosphere. Laurance looks at me with an outstretched hand, but I push it away.

"No, don't," I offer him a sad smile and whisper. "It's better this way.

This isn't even my room. . .

Hayden didn't come to dinner that evening, and Cadenza had already been living with her new husband. It was only the four of us, and it was dead silent. That was until Alex made her announcement of her leaving to O'Khasis tomorrow after breakfast.

That will leave Laurance and I alone here together unless Hayden comes out of his office. Which, may I add, I highly doubt will be any time soon. He needs to fingure things out, and quickly. I cannot handle all this chaos, and now I'm beginning to wonder if I should just run off back to the orphange. At least there I am away from all of the drama, and at least there I am not forced to be somebody.

What I don't understand is why I am still here if Alex is back. He said I was only here until she either comes back, or is found, and she's here. So why am I still here? There's no reason to keep me here.

It's hard to unfall in love with someone. With Leo, I don't know who is marrying him. There's still a ring on my finger, but now he has two known fiancées. Then there's Laurance, and Laurance was off the table to begin with. Somehow I couldn't help but fall in love with him, and that makes me want to rip the hair off of my head. Guys would find me attractive bald, right?

I've sent Taryn away for the evening, but that was simply because I didn't want anyone to talk to.

In a few days there will another ball, and frankly, running away sounds perfect right away now.

Laurance's wedding will be soon, and if I'm still here, I'll be forced to watch him wed someone he doesn't know. He's met her once, and the pain that I felt seeing them together was absolutely horrid. It was as if jealousy and heartbroken had married and gave birth to their own child.

A knocking is heard on my door, and no matter how many times I said go away, they remained. That was until they became annoyed wth my dismissals, and they walk into my room.

"I'm not wearing any pants!" I yell, hoping that they would go away.

"Of course you're not wearing any pants," the voice giggles. I turn to see Alex, and she's wearing her nightgown already. "I apologize for all the drama today. But I came here to wish for you to come with me to O'Khasis tomorrow. I would rather not go alone, and the citizens of O'Khasis would be able to meet you!"

"I suppose, but only because it will get me out of this stupid palace."

"Then it's settled," she chirps. "We run away together tomorrow!"
