Was I just.... asked on a date?! I felt heat boiling the blood inside my cheeks.
"I'd love to. That sounds like a lot of fun!" I said. My heart was like a bunch of stampeding horses again. He smiled.
"Great. It takes place here, so meet me at the sign at 2,'k?" He said, and I nodded, staring at my black slip on shoes. we finished the coffee and said our good byes after he walked me home. Then it hit me.
Did just then count as a date? Did the summer Festival? I walked inside to see Rene standing in the door, grinning like a cheshire cat.
"Oooooooo....." She giggled. "I knew it!" She yelled, throwing her hands in the air. "You two ARE dating!!!"
"No, no NO NO NO!!!! We are NOT dating! NO!!!!" I yelled, and she laughed harder.
"Denial says you LIE!!!" She sang, skipping around. I shook my head and walked upstairs quietly. I knew I wasn't gonna go anywhere talking with her tonight.
