Later that day after school, AppleJack was at her house just hanging out with her friends. Awkwardness was between Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie, ever since what happened at interval. But other than that, everything was fine. Pinkie Pie seemed fine. She was back to her old self, or maybe she was just acting to hide her true feelings underneath. But anyway, they were watching TV. A commercial of Melody Heart was on. She was wearing a glittery outfit and her hair was tied in a side plait.
"Oh, I love her clothes! Look! That's the sort of outfit she should always wear!" Rarity exclaimed approvingly.
Sunset rolled her eyes at Rarity's typical behaviour and looked towards AppleJack.
"So AJ when did your boyfriend say to pick you up." She asked. Apparently, Caramel had asked AppleJack on another date. She was looking forwards to it, because she had made a plan that she hoped wouldn't fail. She was going to try and convince Caramel that Melody Heart was awesome.
"Sunset, you know that Caramel isn't my boyfriend yet." AppleJack said, though she was smiling.
Granny Smith overheard as she ambled into the room on her cane. "I hope that I didn't hear the word 'boyfriend' did I?" She asked suspiciously. "Was it you, my dear AJ?" She pointed her stick in the direction of AppleJack.
"Oh, hey, Gran. I didn't know you were home," said AppleJack, giggling a little nervously. The other girls giggled a bit, too, though Rainbow Dash didn't. (I wonder why . . . 😉)
"I'm always at home, well, sometimes doing shopping," said Granny Smith.
"But aren't you meant to be shopping right now?" asked AppleJack, looking at the full shopping list that was pinned to the fridge door.
"Before I go out shopping, I want to know who the heck is this Caramel boy?" Granny Smith demanded.
"Gran, you already met hi—" AppleJack started to remind her, but Dash interrupted.
"Oh, Granny Smith, you know that AppleJack shouldn't go out with a boy who causes some trouble." She said with a smirk.
"How do you know about that boy hmmm?" Granny Smith asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Well come on it's so obvious." Dash said as she chuckled lightly.
"Dang it, Dash! Stop making stuff up about Caramel!!" AppleJack yelled.
"Yeah who's the jealous one now?" Twilight chimed in.
"Oooh someone has a crush on a boy mmmauh." Apple Bloom said teasingly as she made a kissy face sound.
Big Mac just rolled his eyes.
"Please can y'all just leave!" AppleJack said, trying not to lose her temper with her siblings as well.
"I'm leaving anyways to meet up with my friends!" Apple Bloom replied. She, Scootaloo (Rainbow Dash's sister), and Sweetie Belle (Rarity's sister) were in a group called 'The Cutie Mark Crusaders.' They always went on little adventures together. AppleJack and Rarity thought it was cute.
"And I'm leaving to work at Pipsqueak's!" Big Mac added. He had recently signed up for the job at the new beach hut, but found himself getting tormented by the little boy. It was ridiculous, since Mac was years older than him, but Pipsqueak was very smart for his age. Smart, cunning, sly, and devious.
