Chapter Eighty

Nakatulala lang ako sa pinto ng kuwarto kong nilabasan niya matapos niyang banggitin sa akin ang mga salitang hindi kayang tanggapin ng sistema ko at hindi ko inasahang lalabas mula sa bibig niya. Lush tears were still wetting my face as it poured what my heart was truly feeling.

I was not hurt… I was more than afraid that what he had told me might be true, that what he had told me might be was what he really wanted to happen. I was terrified more than pained that all of this might be really happening after of all the happy and lovely memories we had cherished together.

I was more than terrified that this might be the compensation I needed to pay after having him for a whole month. I was more than terrified that this time, I might lose him for real. I was more than terrified that the long sleep might be over and I needed to wake up now.

In the reality where there was no him. No more beautiful dream, only ugly reality.

Kusang gumalaw ang mga paa ko para humakbang palabas ng kuwarto ko at agad dumiretso sa pinto kahit na nanlalabo ang mga mata ko dahil sa mga luha ko. I quickly found the knob and squeezed it, immediately pushing the door open. Tahimik na hallway ang bumungad sa akin, tila mas pinapasakit ang nararamdaman ko. I suddenly felt isolated. Napalingon ako sa pinto ng bahay nila. With haste, I let my feet run towards their door and immediately encoded the passcode I remembered.

Suminghap ako nang malamang hindi pa rin nagbabago ang passcode ng bahay nila bago ko itinulak ang pinto pabukas habang tahimik na ipinapanalanging sana ay nasa loob siya. Sinalubong ako ng tahimik na living room. Kung paanong iniwan namin ito noong nakaraang linggo ay ganito pa rin ito. Ipinilig ko ang ulo ko para iwaglit ang ibang isipin, saka ko na iisipin ang ibang bagay dahil kailangan kong mahanap si Jimin.

We still had a lot of things to settle. I was sure he didn't mean what he had said a while ago, or if he did, I was sure he had a valid reason for it. Hindi siya makikipaghiwalay sa akin dahil lang sa wala at hindi rin ako makakapayag na maghiwalay kami nang hindi niya ako binibigyan ng sapat na rason! And we were just very fine until now!

"Jimin!" hikbing sigaw ko nang masulyapan ko ang pinto ng kuwarto niya saka mabilis na tinakbo ang distansiya ng pinto at muntik pa akong matalisod sa sobrang pagmamadali. I hastily pushed the door opened, once again shocked for it wasn't locked. I instantly smelled the natural sweet scent of Jimin invading the room and there I saw him, silently sitting on the edge of his bed, his legs parted widely as his elbows prompted on each legs and his palms covered his face.

He looked more devastated than I was that was why I couldn't understand as to why he wanted us to break up.

"T-Take back w-what you said." Humikbi ako sa tonong nagmamakaawa sa kaniyang bawiin niya ang sinabi niya.

Yumuko siya para iiwas sa akin ang mga mata niya pero nahuli ko ang pagbagsak ng mga luha niya na agad niyang tinuyo gamit ang mga braso niya. He was hurting too and he was keeping it from me. He would rather hurt us both than take back what he said.
