"No.." Varian whispered, tightening his grip on the bracelet, more drops of his tears escaping his eyes.
"S-she, she would never leave me.." He assured himself as he chuckled bitterly. "N-never.."
He shakily stood up and slowly turned around, rubbing the flowing tears with his hand, sniffing.
Suddenly, he was alerted by a familiar person that was running towards him.
They only passed Varian a bit until he grabbed their arm, making them turn to face the boy.
"Why are you such in a hurry, Windy?" Varian questioned, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.
The panicked look on Windy's face didn't cease.
"I'm trying to find the doctor! Moriette is unconscious again! I don't know what happened, but when I checked inside her room, she was on the floor, not moving!" Windy explained, quickly pulling her hand out of Varian's grasp while dashing towards the doctor.
“What? B-but how?” Varian thought to himself in disbelief. “I-I just saw her l-leave..”
But then he grinned, happy again. “S-she never left! I could still see her!”
He pocketed the bracelet and quickly rushed towards the Ystal household and to Moriette's room. Varian opened the door slowly but he was waiting in anticipation.
There, he saw Moriette, lying on the bed while sleeping peacefully. Her eyes closed as her chest rose up and down slowly.
Varian breathed a sigh of relief and inched towards her, sitting in a nearby chair and pulling softly towards the bed.
He started to examine her. She was very pretty, and Varian was lucky to have her as his best friend. Or girlfriend if I must say.
He looked down at his lap, letting him ponder on his thoughts.
“Why was I stupid enough to believe that she would leave? In a green circle that is..”
“Was I just hallucinating or what?”
Suddenly, he felt the person in front of him shuffle. That, made him look up at her.
"Moriette?" Varian called out hesitantly, watching as Moriette put her hand on her forehead, rubbing it softly.
Moriette only groaned in response and sighed. She opened her eyes and blinked at the sunlight.
"W-wha..? What happened?" She questioned, looking around the place. "Varian?"
This made Varian confused and surprised. Confused because, did she not know what happened to her?
And surprised because she said his name properly. He was used to hear Moriette saying his name the wrong way, but this time, it was right.
He shook his head, letting the thoughts fade away.
