Comet, Leaf, and Coal passed the entrance hall, heading towards their first class. After a minute, Coal asked, "Do any of you actually know where to go?" "I do," Comet responded. "It's...that way." He pointed to the left. The sign that pointed left read: Stonemover's cave, Library, Classrooms. "Ohhhhh," Coal realized. Comet heard him think, Ah, that makes much more sense. I remember something about winglets together in some class this afternoon. I hope we're not with Cloud's winglet. Comet slipped his thought into a raindrop, a trick he'd learned in the rainforest. The tunnel they were in sloped up suddenly and the air suddenly felt fresher, a bit like water. "Is this SeaWing themed or something?" Leaf wondered aloud. I wonder what they look like, his mind went. Is it true they talk with their scales? Do their scales really glow in the dark? Could I make MY scales do that? Comet shoved his thought into a raindrop as well. They entered a cave. The air was cleaner, fresher up here and the cave was very clean. In the center was a small pond and near the back was a ledge. On that ledge was Tsunami, the great warrior of the five prophecy dragonets. Comet ducked his head. There was something about her that thoughts that were so...loud. A loud noise from the entrance hall sounded. It sounded like a gong. The gong rang three times. That's the first warning, Tsunami thought. "Comet, Leaf, and Coal, right?" she asked them.

They all nodded.

"Oh, come on, be impressed!" Tsunami protested. "Thirty-five names for me to learn. Easy enough for Starflight, but so much harder for the rest of us!"

The gong rang twice.

Someone moved in the tunnel behind Comet and he turned to look. A nervous looking MudWing and a bored looking SeaWing were coming up the tunnel. So this is our first class, the SeaWing thought. I'm glad they chose a decent room for it. He searched the SeaWing's mind again and figured his name was Typhoon.

What if I say something stupid, the MudWing was thinking. What if nobody likes me? Her name was apparently Amber. Three moons, she's a jittery one, Coal was thinking.

The gong rang once just as an IceWing(Blizzard) and a SandWing stepped inside. Comet remembered the winglet lists and remembered the SandWing's name was Scorch.

"Alright," Tsunami announced. "Welcome to your first class. This might be different when you do this with Sunny or Clay, but I think you guys should choose the topic. Talk about anything you want to." She stepped back and looked expectantly at everyone.

"Um," Coal tried and everyone turned to him. "Maybe we could do introductions?" He shrugged.

"Great idea!" Tsunami yelled. She turned back to the SkyWing. "What was your name again?"

"Coal," he replied.

"Great idea, Coal!" Tsunami yelled again. "Alright, you're up."

"Uh, hi," Coal said. "My name is Coal. I like Jade Mountain already and I play the drums. My favorite color is red." He stepped back.

Of course it is, Blizzard thought grumpily.

Hmmm, Scorch was thinking. Worried about something. No, he doesn't want something to happen. Wonder what that is? Looks tired. Bet he didn't sleep well because of that something.

Comet barely stopped himself from gaping. That was all there in Coal's mind. She couldn't be a mind reader, or else he'd have noticed. Had she figured all that out by noticing?

"Your turn," Coal told Comet, nudging him. Six pairs of eyes turned to him.

"My name is Comet," he announced. "Um, I like scrolls and I can't wait to learn a bunch at Jade Mountain Academy. And my favorite color is black." Scorch was already going off on something, but he shoved her thought into the rain.

"HI!" Leaf yelled. "My name is Leaf and OH MY GOSH I love Jade Mountain. I love it so much I don't even miss the rainforest because it's too awesome here. And I LOVE YELLOW!" He sat down.

"Blizzard," Tsunami tried after the IceWing next to Leaf stayed quiet. "Want to go next?"

No, he thought, but stood up. "My name is Blizzard. I wish I was home and I can't wait for school to end. At least I get to see how stupid other tribes are."

"Hey!" Typhoon, Scorch, Coal, and Leaf all said at the same time.

"Blizzard, do you want to leave or stay here," Tsunami asked.

"I'll stay," he grumbled. He sat down.

"Hello," Amber tried quietly. "My name is Amber. Uh, I like scrolls. And I like school," she finished softly. Nervous, Scorch thought. Wishes she was home, but too afraid to show it. I have a feeling she'd love nothing more than to disappear into a scroll for a while, until everyone stopped noticing her. Unsurprisingly, that was all true.

"Hey, I'm Typhoon," the SeaWing announced. "My plan is to learn everything as fast as I can, then go back to the Kingdom of the Sea and be happy. And my favorite color is indigo." Carefree, Scorch was thinking. Very interested in learning. Looks a bit tired, but doesn't want to show it.

Scorch stood up now. "Hi, I'm Scorch. I'm super excited for school and I can't wait to learn as much as I can. And my favorite color is yellow."

"Okay, we're done," Tsunami told them. "Good first class, guys. Now we're going to go hunting."

"Okay!" Leaf called happily. WOO HOO! he thought. A HEROIC SEAWING AND A GRUMPY ICEWING! YAY! And with that, Comet shoved Leaf's thoughts into a raindrop... again.

----------

How about the rest of the winglet? Blizzard is...grumpy, obviously. Scorch is literally Qibli 2.0. Amber is a bit like Sora, but she's not gonna be "fragile." And Typhoon is....easy-going? I haven't really figured out his personality yet.
