Katie's POV:

Nathan whisked us away the day after our arrival. His attitude, secretiveness, and actions made me anxious. I had no idea what was happening.

We boarded the private plane and took off. He hadn't spoken a word to me since the car ride. "Nathan?" I questioned nervously.

His eyes locked with mine there was a darkness to them that I've never seen,"Yes?"

"What's wrong? Are you mad at me?" I asked.

He shook his head and smiled but there was still something in his eyes that made me feel uneasy,"No you haven't angered me."

"Who did?"

Nathan looked out the window and didn't say anything. I crawled over to sit beside him instead of across from him. I held on to his arm and laid my head on his shoulder.

"You know you're amazing right?" I said softly.

I felt his head turn and then his lips kiss my head. "You're the amazing one Katie."

I lifted my head,"Talk to me."

He took a deep breath,"Its my parents...." Nathan explained everything to me. I could feel his hurt, his confusion, as he opened up more and more to me. It was the most beautiful and heartbreaking I've ever seen. I loved him. It caused me such pain to see him like that, but at the same time it made me feel so special to know that he trusted me enough to open up. He told me all about his mother and her affairs. He explained how corrupt the company is because of her. In his mind, she was the cause of every wrong in his life..."But this," he spoke with such emotion it made me almost tear up,"This is the worst thing she's ever done to me." His voice was beginning to crack.

"What? What is she doing?" I asked.

"She forcing me to go back home," he turned to me,"And leave you."

I was surprised. What had I done wrong?

Nathan must've known what I was thinking because he then said,"You've done nothing wrong."

I felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest. I couldn't imagine a life without Nathan in it. My eyes began to sting with tears when I realized that the, once unimaginable, was my reality. Nathan, so quickly, became a close friend of mine when I was at my lowest. My father cheated, my mother left, I was at a new school... but it was all made better because of Nathan. As I was looking into his eyes I felt it in my soul; we were meant to be. I, suddenly, wasn't worried because I knew that no matter how hard it may be we will be together someday. There was just no way, the people of this earth, have the ability to ruin something so powerful.

"Why are you smiling this is a serious moment?" Nathan asked with tinge of laughter in his voice.

I didn't realize I was smiling,"I think that we will be okay."

Nathan smiled brightly and then leaned over and placed the most precious, soft, kiss on my lips.

I just knew that everything would be okay.
