When the clone medics had treated Ahsoka, Master Kenobi, Master Skywalker and I piled into the hut where she was sleeping. Master began speaking quietly with Master Skywalker and moved away from me, but I could still hear.
“She isn’t a Jedi anymore, we would be defying the council if we didn’t tell them she is mimicking her old Jedi ways to protect her people,” Master whispered, “Anakin, sometimes you have to let go.”
“No,” Master Skywalker said harshly, “She is doing the Republic a service. She is protecting her people, and the Republic. It isn’t hurting anyone for her to return to her Jedi ways. We should leave her alone to protect this planet.”
Master Kenobi rubbed his beard, thinking. “No, we need to alert the council the Separatists are a threat to Shili. She cannot defend this whole planet alone.”
“She’s done well defending it so far. How many times have we defied the council before?” Master Kenobi looked up.
“Anakin—
“A lot… the answer is a lot. What is one more time?” He begged. I felt sorry for Master Skywalker. This was an impossible decision.
Captain Rex entered the room then. “General Kenobi, Master Yoda from the Jedi Temple has contacted us.” Master Kenobi gently lifted his head and grimaced.
“What has he requested?” Master responded, grimacing, but trying to hide his dissatisfaction.
“He wants an update on the destruction of the Separatist base.” Master pursed his lips.
“Andora,” I lifted my head to my Master’s words, “Go and take the audience with Master Yoda, please.” I nodded and walked out with Captain Rex, where he led me to a temporary camp for all the clones. The transmission Master Yoda sent was played back.
“Kid,” Captain Rex said as the transmission finished. “I have a feeling the run in with Commander Tano is going to spark the interest of the Jedi Order and throughout the council. What are you going to tell General Yoda?” I looked to the ground and shrugged my shoulders.
Honestly I had no idea what I would say to Master Yoda. I looked up at Captain Rex. “Thank you Captain Rex, you are dismissed.” He nodded and returned to his post with his legion.
I pressed the button to send a transmission to Master Yoda. He received the transmission and soon I was talking to him face to face.
“Um, hi Master Yoda.” I said, uneasy.
“Padawan, your Master I sent for.” He retorted.
“Master Kenobi is busy.” I lied. In a way he was busy. He was busy arguing with Anakin.
“A strong rift in the Force I feel child. Your mission has brought you what?” I pursed my lips.
“We destroyed the base and should be returning to Coruscant soon, Master.”
“Very good child, return to your Master, you must.” The transmission cut out and I sighed.
Captain Rex came up behind me. “I saw how you handled that. Nicely done.”
“Captain, this isn’t funny, this rogue Jedi could spark distress in the Order and Council. Man your post.” He nodded and I walked off, back to Ahsoka’s hut.
“What did you tell Master Yoda?” Master Skywalker blurted out right as I walked in.
“I told him we successfully destroyed the base, that’s all. He isn’t far from figuring out the truth though. He said he felt a strong rift in the Force. We should leave soon, nothing ever happened.”
“We are going to try and convince Ahsoka to join the Jedi Order again. Then she wouldn’t be alone defending Shili and the Council will knowingly accept her back.” I nodded.
Master Skywalker stood up. “Let’s talk Andora.” I nodded and followed him out.
