It went a little something like this:
First, I used my telekinesis to stop their bullets in midair then sent their guns flying across the pavement. I noticed a truck parked nearby and decided it'd make a good enough cell while I dealt with their super friend.
Seeming really cool by magically stopping bullets from hitting me? Check. Find a way to temporarily contain my enemies? Check.
Though they surely realized bullets weren't going to work they kept shooting. For a second I thought one of them was going to make a good decision and put down his gun, but he then came running at me. He knocked me to the ground and got a couple punches in before I telekinetically lifted him from on top of me. With my ears now ringing and a severe headache forming it made it a little difficult but I kept my focus on their bullets and keeping them under control. I wouldn't be able to do anything to help if I was dead and I'd be that way if I lost focus.
I climbed onto the roof, still holding off the bullets (how much ammo did these guys have?), and pushed them off the car roof. With them now on the ground, I herded the three of them into the truck. In my daze, I didn't realize the flamethrowing guy had disappeared. The three other guys were a little cooperative and I figured it was probably because they finally got some brains and realized they weren't going to win. That wasn't the case.
After jamming the seatbelt buckle and strapping them in, they were temporarily contained. I now realized why they were so cooperative. Their super-powered friend was standing behind me. He wore a ski mask (typical) to hide his identity.
I phased out, the term my aunt and I used for becoming invisible and jumped onto the hood of the van. The Flamethrower was now frantically shooting fire from his hands, searching for me.
I couldn't keep up my invisibility for long and started to phase in, the heat of the flames making me lose concentration. My ghostlike figure was enough to catch the attention of the Flamethrower. He pulled me up to the hood of the car, most likely to burn my face off when someone yelled from behind him
"Hey, Lava girl!" Aunt Megan called. Thank you I wanted to tell her. Her call gave me the perfect opportunity to escape.
He turned, distracted by the sudden noise. His fiery hand was still poised over my face, most likely ready to burn my face off. The flames engulfing his hand whipping violently, charring the tips of my hair. I could feel the material on my suit expanding with the heat, weakening with each second I was trapped under him and decided to bring up the idea of a flame resistant suit to Aunt Megan later.
In the short moment he was turned away I got out from beneath him, his flaming mitt grazing my chest and burning a large hole into the 'C' stitched there. I attracted a sheet of metal from the back of the nearby truck his friends were currently trapped in with telekinesis and bent it around the Flamethrower's hands, using his own heat to make it more malleable and bend the metal into place. A makeshift pair of heatproof handcuffs.
The police showed up not too long after I had finished dealing with the robbers. They drove them off in the truck, deciding to keep their ski masks on. Something about how they wanted to keep this robbery on the down low as to not make it public that they very nearly succeeded in robbing the city bank.
I stuck around for a moment to accept the applause from civilians and then phased out.
The walk home was a cold one, as there was now a large hole burnt into the chest of the suit. I made a mental note to stop by S.A.S.S tomorrow.
