There were nine of us, but in the process we lost someone.
They asked us how that could happen? How could you lose someone? Where did they go?
I remember clearly opening the vault. Turning that large black handle to the left, spinning and spinning. 7-4-7-7
There were nine of us.
I heard an echo, a whisper maybe, and then... thud. Everything turned dark. "Clara?" I yelled. "Sylvie, Darrel, Donna, Michael, Mazari?" "Here!" They all chimed. "Where's everyone else? Is anyone else here?"
I put my arms out in front of me, searching the space for anyone my finger tips could reach. "Is anyone else here? Where are you in here?" this time there was no response, just a faint buzzing in the distance.
They said it would be easy, that we would be okay....suddenly the doors reopened. I was blinded by a single flash light shining through the vault.
