Yixing

I didn't have any problems with Junmyeon. He seemed to be a generally nice guy, even with his status as leader of the Playboys. He acted more like a mother than anything else. I could see why everyone in the school seemed to like him. Guys and girls alike.

We had just left the house, walking down the street in slightly awkward silence. It wasn't like we didn't want to talk, I just don't think either of us had any idea of what to say. It was hard, in reality. He had just learned of everything that needed to happen if he wanted to be with me. To say it was going to be hard was an understatement.

We were walking down the sidewalk, trying to figure out what to do. Luhan and Sehun seemed to have things planned already. So did Baekhyun and Chanyeol. Junmyeon had asked me out on the date, but it didn't seem like he actually had anything figured out.

"Wanna go to the aquarium?" he asked, breaking the silence. I looked at him, seeing the hopeful look in his eye. I thought about it for a moment. I had been to aquariums in Korea before, but I hadn't been to the one in Seoul yet.

"Yeah, I could go for an aquarium date," I said. He smiled, reaching down and grabbing my hand. He dragged me off into the city, not letting go of my hand once. It was weird. I had never had my hand held by people like that before. Sure, Tao sometimes slept with me in my bed. That was only when his night terrors got bad, though. So simple touches like this were.... different.

We reached the aquarium about ten minutes later. At least I think it was ten minutes, I couldn't say for sure. My mind was still spinning about the fact that my hand had just been held almost affectionately for more than two seconds. I didn't have any problem with it. I just wasn't used to it.

It didn't take long for us to get inside. Junmyeon paid, though I had told him many times before we got up to the entrance that I could have paid for my own ticket. He refused all of my efforts. The aquarium itself was quite beautiful. I could remember one of my friends who was from California describing a big aquarium from there to me, and this had to be the closest thing to that description that I had ever seen.

Diagrams and pictures of the different animals from the aquarium were hung all over the walls. There was a gift shop, and a couple small exhibits. The ceiling was extremely high up, with what appeared to be a model of a whale and another smaller baby whale hanging from it. My eyes widened when I saw the first exhibit.

Clown fish.

"Jun! Oh, my god, Jun look it's the goldfish like from finding Nemo let's go let's go let's go!" I said, grabbing his hand and dragging him off. I think I caught him off guard, as I heard him stumble behind me as I ran towards the exhibit. I couldn't help but smile as I watched the fish. They were always my favorite.

The rest of the day pretty much went on like that. I dragged him around to the different exhibits, and we went through the entire aquarium. I had fun dragging him around to everything. I'm sure I got annoying at some point, as he never really got to choose where we went.

We finally sat down for lunch, and I felt the need to apologize. "Jun, I'm sorry for being the way that I have been," I said, his attention snapping up from his pizza. "I'm sure there's places you wanted to go in here as well and I haven't even given it a second thought to ask you."

He shook his head, putting his food down. "It's okay. I'ts honestly pretty adorable to see you get so excited over the fish." He reached across the table, holding my hand. "As long as you're having fun, that's all I'm worried about." He gave my hand a gentle squeeze, as if trying to reassure me his words stood true.

We sat in silence for a while, until he decided we should get up and finish the aquarium tour. We were there for maybe two more hours, finishing off the tour at the gift shop. He got me a goldfish plushy, and a small key-chain with a baby shark on it. By the time we got out of there the sun was already starting to go down, so we went to the last place of the day.

The beach.

It wasn't much of a beach, as we were in the middle of Seoul. But a small beach on the edge of a lake watching the sun set was pretty nice, if I do say so myself. There weren't many words said between us, but it wasn't uncomfortable. It was more like we just enjoyed each others presence.

We sat down on a bench swing we found, watching the sun reflect on the ripples in the water as kids ran around and their families watched. It was peaceful. Serene. Something I hadn't felt in a really long time. I found myself leaning my head on Junmyeon's shoulder, his arm wrapping itself around me almost like it was his natural instinct. I found myself hoping it wasn't one of his playboy antics.

"Yixing," his voice broke the silence that had fallen. I hummed in response, not moving to look him in the eye. "How did you end up in the gang?"
