Jasper and I walked into the house, and we both went up to my room.
"I'm gonna change into some more comfy clothes, try to get as comfortable as you can." I stated going to the bathroom to change.
I changed into a baggy green t-shirt and black spandex shorts. I walked out and saw Jasper his button up shirt unbottoned at the top, and his shoes off.
I hopped on my king sized bed and patted the spot next to me, Jasper laid next to me. For the first 10 minutes we kinda just stared at the ceiling.
"Tell me about it." I stated keeping my gaze on the ceiling as I pulled the fluffy comforter over both of us.
"Tell you about what?" Jasper looked at me, with confusion as I laid on my side staring at him.
"The civil war." I answered, scooting closer to him, and laying my head on the pillow next to his arm.
"Get comfy darlin, this will take awhile." He stated putting his arms behind his head.
Responding to that I layed my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around his waist, what I didn't see was Jasper smiling down at me.
"So the Civil War of 1861 through 1865 determined what kind of nation it would be. The war resolved two fundamental questions left unresolved by the revolution.." Jasper spoke, all I could do was stare at him with the most admiration.
After awhile of laying there, and Jasper telling me about the civil war, I realized somehing, I was falling for him.
The way he would make me blush, when he would call me darlin, the way he was well rehearsed and would worry about me. I Clove Robertson was falling for Jasper Hale.
"Clove? Did you hear me?" Jasper asked smirking down at me, looking at me with the same admiration I had stared at him with.
"Uh, what?" I chuckled being caught mid thought.
"What were you thinking about?" Jasper questioned, seeming really interested in my thoughts.
"Oh, it's nothing." I answered, looking up at him with a hopefully convincing smile.
"It's not nothing if you missed me talking about Abraham Lincoln's assignation." Jasper pointed out, causing me to hide my red face into his chest.
"Oh well, I was just thinking about you." I murmerd into his chest.
"What were you thinking about me?" Jasper egged on, making me so red I felt my cheeks where on fire.
".. I think I'm falling for you." I answered, making Jasper stare at me for a few minutes.
Then Jasper once again pulls me chin up to stare at him in the eyes, despite trying to hide my red cheeks his face slowly earing closer to mine
"The feelings mutual ma'am." Jasper stated before closing the gap, it felt like nothing before out lips moving in perfect sync, slowly the kiss got rougher, but none less passionate.
I was the first to break for air, our foreheads touching as I looked down smiling.
"You are so beautiful, when you're happy." Jasper stated smiling before pecking my lips again.
"So back to the civil war, the event that triggered war came at Fort Sumter in Charleston Bay on April 12, 1861. Claiming this United States fort as their own.." Jasper continued, but as he continued, he couldn't keep a huge smile off his face.
