Jay whisked around the corner at the speed of lightning as he heard the crowded barks of a street fight and the hidden wail of a certain someone. The alley was filled with the foul stench of smoke and heavy bodies as they lurched at one another, fists and feet flying as they made crimson pools grow underneath them.

A slender figure that caught Jay's eye was trapped underneath one of the gangsters, their fist hovered above Jay's target. Jay's feet sprinted hard across the pavement as his fist met the face of the gangster, blood spilling out of their mouth as they hit the floor. Jay turned to look down at the person lying open on the ground, dark eyes wide as he gazed at Jay.

"Jay? What? Why are you here?" He choked out as he stared shockingly at the handsome form above him. Jay failed to answer and knelt down quickly beside Daniel as others fought around him. Before he could pick him up, though, a demanding shout sounding harshly behind him. Jay whisked around, hidden eyes narrowing as he stared out from strands of hair.

"What do you think you're doin'?" The opposer questioned, eyes turning to cat slits as the rest of his gang crowded around him, the unconscious bodies of others spilled out on the ground. Jay also refused to answer that and took a hard and unexpected swing at the bully, the crack of his nose smothered beneath Jay's fist. The others yelled surprisingly and bolted forward, teeth bared and eyes wild as they faced on the mute Jay.

A kick knicked Jay's ear as he dodged and dug his fist into the stomach of the enemy, shoving him to the ground as he uppercut another.

"For Daniel," he thought. "I can't let him get hurt." Even though it was rare to hear his words aloud, the thoughts in his head were passionate and true when they were of Daniel.

"Hey, you! Tough guy! You forget about your little friend over here?" Jay turned on his heel abruptly to see one of the fat gangsters clutching Daniel's collar, their dark eyes malicious as they glared at Jay. Jay clenched his fists and rage and bolted forward, his arm swinging backward and his hips turning. The thug cackled as he dodged the punch and threw Daniel against the wall behind him. Daniel cried in pain as his head thumped against the brick wall.

The guy faked, catching Jay off guard and catching his cheekbone. Jay swung again with all his might and caught the enemy in the side, throwing him off balance as Jay landed a blow to the jaw and kicked him in the stomach, banging him against the wall. The guy groaned as Jay hurried toward Daniel who was lying in a helpless heap on the pavement. Jay gritted his teeth in angst as he saw the blood starting to form on the back of Daniel's head and dribbling down his chin from his mouth.

Jay's heart started to thump again subconsciously against his chest as he gazed down at Daniel, his eyes smiling benevolently beneath his heavy locks. He slid his arms underneath Daniel and lifted him up, his steady form lying bridal style in Jay's long arms. Jay gazed down at Daniel fondly and lifted one of his fingers to brush his cherry red lips. Jay's cheeks stole the flush of a summer sunset as he carried Daniel away in his arms, leaving the countless knocked out bodies scattered in the alleyway.

End.
