He managed to get it.

He stole the Tesseract, controlling Clint and Selvig, before leaving the place.

The science facility of SHIELD got destroyed as planned, and the multiple attempts at following Loki were unsuccessful.

The next day, Fury talked to Nina about the Avengers initiative, and how he wanted to assemble many powerful people to help him combat forces which the police or the government could not. Those people included herself, Romanoff, Barton, Bruce Banner, Tony Stark and Captain America.

Fury explained how he didn't want Banner in because of the Hulk. He wanted him for his knowlodge in gamma rays, which could help tracking the Tesseract.

Everyone had someone to go get. Nina's mission was to bring Natasha back home. Coulson gave her a phone number, which she immediately called.

"Да?" Said a voice through the phone. Wait a minute, where exactly was Nat?

"Позвольте мне поговорить с Лучки," Nina demanded.

"Its for you," she hears from the other side or the line.

"Who the hell-"

"You're at 114 Solenski Plaza, 3rd floor. We have an F22 exactly 8 miles out. Put the woman on the phone or I will blow up the block before you can make the lobby," Nina said. Luchkov hesitated, but what else could he do? He placed the phone between Nat's shoulder and her cheek. "We need you to come in," Nina told her, her tone urgent.

"Are you kidding?" Natasha exclaimed. "I'm working!"

"This takes precedence," Nina told her.

"You're starting to sound like Coulson. I'm in the middle of an interrogation, and this morons are giving me everything."

"We don't give everything," Nina heard the voice if one of the men.

"Look, you can't pull me out of this right now."

"Natasha," Nina warned. Natasha froze. Nina never called her by her full name, it was always only Nat. "Barton has been compromised." Nat sighed.

"Let me put you on hold."

There were grunts and punches and kicks. A few seconds later, Natasha was back to the phone.

"Where Barton now?"

"I don't know."

"But he's alive?"

"I think so. I'll brief you on everything when you get back. But first, Coulson wants you to talk to the big guy."

"Coulson knows Stark trusts me about as far as he can throw me," Natasha said.

"No, Couslon has got Stark," Nina explained. "You've got the big guy. " Nina heard Natasha suck in a breath.

"Боже мой."
