It had been nearly ten minutes and I could still not make up my mind.

I can guarantee you both men wanted to just snatch me up and throw me in the car, but I refuse to be treated like a rag doll.

The sun was now aligned against the earth, indicating night time would fall soon. The air around us grew heavier as chills started to run up my arm, making me wish I had my sweater enveloping me in warmth. That, however, was in the car beside me where Ryder was head banging to All Time Low waiting for me to utter a word.

I opened the side door and reached inside for my sweater. I figured there would be no harm given that Ryder appeared to be slightly distracted.

I cautiously stepped towards the door, slowly moving deeper inside as I watched the hunk in the driver’s seat through my peripheral vision.

I could hear Jason spitting out words incoherently trying to refrain me from doing any such thing. I raised my hand signaling him to calm down and stop being such a spaz.

As my body was fully in, the sweater in my hands, Ryder smirked from the rearview mirror, then proceeded to step on the gas. I felt my body jerk forward, falling into the space between both seating areas.

I’m screwed.

“What is your problem?" I yelled.

“I don’t think I have a problem now,” he smirked.

“Stop this car,” I ordered.

“Why would I do that sweetheart?” he teased.

“I want to go with Jason,” I whined.

I wish I would have made my mind sooner.

Jason was the person I had wanted to go with. It was the reasonable thing to do. I may not know what he’s hiding from me, but I knew a lot more than the lunatic in front of me now.

I could hear Jason barking orders to his posse as he looked back at me frantically. He gave me a reassuring smile, mouthing the words “I love you” before jumping into his car.

I looked beside me and noticed the door beside me remained open. I could attempt to jump out of the car once more, but I had already failed to do so earlier in the day.

“Are you considering falling to your death again?" Ryder mocked.

“Shut up,” I spat.

I could hear him chuckling as he recalled previous events. I huffed back in my seat crossing my arms.

“You should close that door,” he stated.

I rolled my eyes, sitting back on the seat nearest to the open door. I pulled the seatbelt around my body, making sure it was secured safely into the buckle. I pulled the extra fabric into my hand as I reached my body outwards reaching for the handle.

As I felt it inside my hand, I used all the strength in me to pull the door closed against the heavy air. I slammed it shut with a proud smile on my face.

“That was pretty clever, sweetheart,” Ryder acclaimed.

“Don’t talk to me,” I crossed my arms.

Talk to me he did not.

Who knew I would miss his incoherent words throwing punches at me? It wasn’t that I was open to be someone’s victim; I simply had no other form of entertainment.

My phone was dead so no creeping on Dylan O’Brien on twitter.

Mr. Take-Everything-Seriously in the front seat pulled the stereo out as some sort of punishment for me. I had no idea how to install it back, so that was not an option.
