4.42pm. Perfect time to start heading to the special place. After getting off the bus, I followed the route on my phone's GPS to find the located. It was then that I realized, I could just follow the crowds of people who were clearly heading to the same place as us.
"Never thought you'd bring me to a stadium. What brings us here?"
He clearly forgot. He's not even pretending. Which means that this was going to work out in my favor. I looked up to the sky. Not a single piece of cloud to hint a sign of rain. Today was a great day.
Without saying a word, he observed the area around us. Past the crowds of people waiting in line to get admission, he realized what the big event was. Maybe I should have bought a cheap blindfold for him, but it's a bit too late for that now. I could have made the surprise seem bigger, but this was good enough.
"Shit, Violetta. What date is it today?" He checked it on his phone. His face was filled with shock. In a good way. "I can't believe I forgot all about it."
It was the day that Stab the Strings came to town. And they were about to perform that evening. It's his favorite band, and I got us front row tickets to see them! No obstructions, no binoculars. It was just us and them.
As the sky grew towards a pinkish color of the sunset, we decided to queue in line to get in. Luka wrapped his arm around me to pull me closer. He kissed the top of my head and thanked me for all that I did.
"By the way, the red in your hair's growing back. Planning on dyeing it again?"
I inspected my jet black hair closely, which matched his. As cool as it'd be for it to stay that way, it wasn't worth me changing myself. Partly because it wasn't doing my hair any good. The other reason is because...
"I don't think it matters. Besides, you like me, just the way I am, right?"
He shook his head, smiling. "Love, Violetta. It's more than just a simple 'like'. I love you. And I want you with me forever."
I folded my arms. My pose was more confident than I had ever been. "You're gonna have to protect me from all the vampire hunters than. Cause they're gonna start coming after me."
"And fall in love with my girl? I don't think so," he threatened.
Luka kneeled down on one knee. He grabbed my hand and smooched it. There's the emo prince I know and love.
He got up and yanked me toward him. My back was against his body. And he turn my head for him to kiss me. I let it happen, but spun around shortly after to push him back.
"We're in a public place," I reminded. Looking around, I could sense some wandering eyes focusing on us.
He shrugged and sighed. But whispered in my ear, "Then let me have more when we get back."
God, I wish I knew what he meant by that. Maybe it's best for me not to know. Don't want to spoil the surprise that's laid ahead of me. But I couldn't stop imagining weird, dirty thoughts. Cut it out, Violetta. He's just trying to mess with your head!
On the way in, we bought the band's shirt and put it in a free tote bag given to all the participants. Inside it were plenty of neon sticks to give ourselves a little glow during the event. Even the ones that can be bent into a bracelet. And there were also multicolored battery based light sticks for us to wave during the concert.
As there was little time left before the show starts, we rushed to find our seats. Thankfully, the ushers were around to check our seat number on the tickets and point us in the right direction.
While seated in our chairs, I began wondering if there was anything or anyone that could ruin this already perfect day. Guess my mind was wandering into the pessimistic zone. I seriously have got to chill. Stressing out about things isn't good. I decided to confide in him, so that he could perhaps help clear my mind.
When I told it to Luka he assured me that nothing could happen to us now. After all, Joanne wasn't the type of person to attend a concert for pop punk bands. But what about Mario? Luka never told me what happened to him after that day. He looked uneasy when I asked him about it.
"Dude's gone to prison, for sure. He's also receiving therapy for his behavior... But I'm skeptical that it'll work. Or that they'll hold him."
Skeptical? That wasn't a positive thought. But why, I asked. He told me that his brother was an unpredictable guy. Can never tell what's on his mind; what he's really thinking. And if he somehow managed to get out once, this wasn't the last time we'll be seeing him.
Now that wasn't making me feel better. Luka told me though, that his injuries may last a while. And that means I won't be able to mistake them for each other anymore. Way to remind me of my blunder. But that was... Slightly reassuring? Then he changed the subject. Fair enough.
As the sky darkened even more, the show was about to begin. The crowd stood up, regardless of which row or seat they were at. It'd be weird not to follow them. The announcer came onto the stage and hyped the crowd, but who gives a shit about what he's saying? Everybody cheered along anyway, regardless.
There was the opening act and other musicians—all of them very talented. But there's only one band we were all waiting for. And when they came up on stage, there wasn't a single soul who didn't start screaming. Even me, who only started listening to their songs a few days prior to this day.
I could tell though, that Luka couldn't even believe where the hell he was. His eyes were shining like the lights on stage. But they reminded me more of the stars above in the night sky. The band was playing away in front, but my attention was fixed on him. Seeing how happy he was made me feel like I was falling in love all over again, ten times over.
He handed me a light stick. I turned it on and began waving along with the rhythm of the songs. The whole stadium glittered like it was Christmas. I was having the time of my life then.
"Thank you for everything, Vio," Luka shouted, but his voice couldn't even compare to the volume of the speakers.
I had to request for a repeat of his words before I could finally catch it the third time. Eventually, he gave up and let his actions speak louder than words. He pulled me and our lips locked with the band playing in the background.
I stared at him with the same look he gave me. This day wasn't about me. I jumped on him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He supported me by my legs so that I wouldn't fall backwards. I gave him a kiss that was as deep and passionate as I could. And based on his reaction and reciprocation, I could tell that he wasn't gonna let me down anytime soon.

I got inspired for this scene when I attended a concert, though it wasn't in a stadium but an open garden, which meant that the crowd was kinda messy
But the experience made me be like, "Concert... Hm... Perfect!" haha >w<
Have you guys ever been to a concert? What was it and how was your experience?
By the way, the story will be coming to an end soon. So I'd like to hear your thoughts on the whole thing once more!
Was it as expected? If so, was it a good thing or bad thing? And who is your favorite and/or most relatable character in here? OvO
