They stood there, looking at each other and none of them bothered to say a word and break the silence.
"Why'd you want to talk?" Martha asked Chad, breaking the silence upon them.
"I hate to say this..." he trailed as Martha's heartbeat began to beat faster than a marathon that it would pop out of her chest any moment.
"I'm breaking up with you." He said looking her directly through her eyes.
After that he didn't feel any pain.
In fact, he felt great to finally let it out.
"W-what? Why?" She asked as her eyes turn watery and tears threaten to fall.
"I don't love you anymore. I never did. And I never will." Those were his last words before walking out.
That moment she felt like her heart was stabbed.
She felt numb.
She wanted to say something.
But all she did was cry.
