The next day..
"I'm so sick of this Zi." Kaleena cried into the phone. "I cook for this man. I take care of his children. I put my own feelings to the side to be there for him. I try to care for him. I'm in love with him and this is how he fucking does me??? The way that man called me a bitch and a hoe and sounded like he actually meant it only reminded me of Amir. The way Amir used to verbally abuse me. The way Javon stared me down as if he was really about to hit me. I saw Amir! I was wrong for hitting him but I'm just so fucking pissed. I'm pissed Zi and I don't know if I can deal with this. He won't tell me what's going on with him but he accused me of cheating! He tore me down. He doesn't even pay as much attention to me as he used to and something....something is telling me that he's been creeping around doing something he shouldn't be." Tears continued to spill from her eyes as she blew her nose with the tissue. It was bright red from her blowing it so much while she cried.
"Calm down boo." Zina told her sighing into the phone. She hated to hear her friend crying and hurting like this. "I'm sorry you're going through this Leena. What do you think he's hiding? You don't think he's cheating do you?"
"I don't know Zi." Kaleena sniffled sitting on her bed. "I would hope not but for weeks now he hasn't been himself. If he's not giving me any attention then who the hell is he giving it to? Kaleel even told me that he's been kind of jumpy lately. Why the hell would he be jumpy unless he has something to hide? I'm just tired of sitting around this fucking house while he's out doing who knows what." Her eyes watered again.
"First of all you're gonna dry those fucking tears and stop stressing behind his ass. If he won't take you out then you go out and have fun by yourself if you have to. You wait on no man to do anything for you Leena. As women we sometimes let men dictate our happiness when we should be the cause of our own happiness. You say his mama got the kids well bitch do something for you. He ain't consider your feelings when he said the shit he said to you and ran off with his bitch ass homeboy to the strip club so tonight do you." Zina told her.
"I hear you Zi." Kaleena sniffled wiping her eyes.
"I'm serious Leena. You should think about it. Make yourself happy boo. Don't ever wait on a man. Give his ass a taste of his own medicine maybe then he'll see what the hell he has right in front of him. Sometimes you have to wake these niggas up and bring them back to reality."
"You're right about that." Kaleena agreed when she looked up to see Kaleel standing in the door. "I'll call you later Zi."
"Let me know how it goes best friend. Bye."
"Bye." Kaleena hung up the phone staring at Kaleel. "So how long have you been standing there?"
"Long enough to see and hear you crying. You aight sis?" Kaleel walked into the bedroom taking a seat beside Kaleena who laid her head on his shoulder.
Kaleena exhaled deeply.
"Is everything with you and Javon good? He didn't put his hands on you last night did he? I heard all of the arguing." Kaleel said watching as Kaleena lifted her head.
"Oh my God." She stared at her brother. "I'm sorry. I didn't want you to hear that. I should've handled it better."
"I mean it's cool." Kaleel shrugged. "No relationship is perfect right? I just ain't feeling how he called you a hoe and a bitch. That really got under my skin. Javon's cool and all but you're my sister and I'll never be okay with anybody disrespecting you. He can't say nothing to me bro. Not until he sincerely apologize to you." Kaleel frowned.
