I did the right thing. I’ve thought about this for the last month. He had a pattern. Every year on January 19th he would ‘fall in love’ with a new person. It was like a cycle, it was like, his mind had a default reset button on that date. It- it was the date his father died, and maybe that’s why.

But if I gave him the love he wanted and stayed with him, he would have gotten rid of me at some point, for some reason or the other, before January 19th 2015. That’s when he would start over.
