The frightened boy and dragon flew as fast as they could away from the camp.
"I think we lost them," panted Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third.
But he spoke too soon.
The black dragon and the brown-haired boy came screaming out of the forest, and was heading straight at them.
"Oh for Thor's sake," gasped Hiccup in terror. "Fly, Windwalker, fly!"
The terrified Windwalker let out a whinnying snort, and zoomed at a hundred miles an hour ahead of the black dragon. Toothless the Night Fury gathered up speed as well, and he was gaining on the unfamiliar black, ragged-winged dragon. Hiccup held on the Windwalker's back spine determinedly, and guided the Windwalker up into the clouds.
"Up, Windwalker," he said, and the Windwalker zoomed up into the sky.
Hiccup and the Windwalker are used to this method of losing their pursuers. They would fly high enough to lose them, then hide in the clouds for a few moments before streaking away into the horizon. This would have been a great plan--if their pursuer is NOT a Night Fury.
If Hiccup had known about Night Furies, he would have used another method to lose it. But Hiccup had never been into this world, so he of course didn't know about the dragons in here.
So Toothless the Night Fury followed Windwalker with ease, flying up, up, up, and caught up with the Windwalker and its red-haired rider.
Toothless chose to grab the rider than attack the dragon, so he picked him up very gently, and swooped downward.
"Not again," groaned Hiccup as he was being picked up by the dragon, remembering a year or so ago when he was plucked off twice by his mother off the Windwalker and the Deadly Shadow.
Hiccup screamed as they swooped in astonishing speed downwards, and his ears popped with the pressure. The Windwalker screeched in alarm as he felt and saw his Master being picked up and carried swiftly down to the ground.
"Windwalkeeeeeerrrr!" yelled Hiccup in absolute fear.
The black dragon braked gently and very gently placed Hiccup on the grass, sprawled on the ground. It landed gracefully, and its rider hopped off the black dragon.
Hiccup jumped to his feet and unsheathed his sword, the Endeavor (or the Dragonsword), with his left hand, and asked in a trembling voice at the boy, "Who are you?"
"I was about to ask the same thing," said the boy. "My name is Hiccup."
Hiccup the Third could've dropped his sword then and there, he was so shocked. Hiccup?
"That's strange," said Hiccup the Third slowly. "My name is Hiccup too. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third."
Now it was Hiccup Haddock's turn to be shocked. "Th-th-this is amazing!" he stammered in joyous surprise. "My name is ALSO Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third!"
There was a short pause as the two Hiccups stared in amazement at each other.
The Windwalker finally reached Hiccup, and he crashlanded messily beside him. He sprang to his feet immediately, and began to try to pull Hiccup onto his back.
"Come on Master! We have to leave!" squeaked the Windwalker, accidentally knocking Hiccup down to the ground in his panicked frenzy to get away.
"No, Windwalker!" shouted Hiccup in Dragonese, trying desperately to get back on his feet. "They're friends!"
Hiccup Haddock was more surprised than he was a minute ago.
"What did you say?" he asked, and Windwalker stopped pulling Hiccup. Hiccup staggered back to his feet again, rubbing his slightly bruised shoulder.
Dragonese was punctuated in strange noises, so Hiccup Haddock must've been surprised when he heard Hiccup spoke Dragonese.
"Um, I speak Dragonese," said Hiccup shortly. Then he turned slightly red, embarrased. "That's the language dragons speak to each other."
Hiccup Haddock was so shocked and impressed that he stared at Hiccup the Third for a moment.
At that moment, Toothless the Sea-Dragon, woke up and crawled out of Hiccup's waistcoat, blowing irritated smoke rings.
"W-w-wossat?" he said sleepily but rather in an irritated fashion. "Wosshappening? W-w-why T-toothless woke up with h-h-his b-b-bottom hurting?"
Toothless had indeed got hit on the bottom when Hiccup fell to the ground as the Windwalker pulled him.
Toothless looked at Hiccup Haddock with interest. "Who's t-t-this h-h-human?" he asked.
"I think he's a friend," replied Hiccup.
Toothless the Night Fury took one look at the small, green dragon and sniggered, blowing puffy smoke out of his nostrils.
Unfortunately, Toothless saw that, and he puffed up almost twice his size in anger. He leaped and bit the Night Fury's left front paw with his sharp little gums.
The Night Fury screeched and shot a plasma blast that burnt a patch of grass beneath him. He shook his paw in agony.
"T-T-THAT'S w-what you g-g-get iffa you l-l-laugh at T-T-TOOTHLESS!" screeched Toothless angrily, releasing Toothless the Night Fury's paw.
The angry Night Fury prepared to spring at the tiny little dragon who bit him, and the young Sea-Dragon took out his small, sharp claws, and the two dragons prepared to fight when...
Both Toothlesses paused, and both Hiccups looked at each other.
Two Toothlesses, and both Masters had the name Hiccup?
What a strange day.
Both Hiccup and Hiccup looked at each other in astonishment.
What could possibly be going on?
