taking august's advice i head to jonah's, opening my front door bracing myself for minnesota's cold, harsh winds. pushing my hands deeper into my windbreakers' pockets, trying to reach for litttle warmth left. shuffling my feet over the icy driveway onto jonah's, reaching his front door i hit the door bell with my elbow not wanting any warmth to escape.
jonah rushes toward the door, a cheesey smile appearing on his face as soon as he lays his eyes on me. open the door quickly, but wincing from the strong winds that lick his warm skin. "bex come in, please it's very fucking cold out there," jonah exclaims before grabbing my hand and pulling me inside the roth franzich household.
"thanks jo-" i start to say before getting cut off by the sound of two people laughing. hearing the high pitch wheezing i immediately recognize august's laugh, but the other one i can't comprehend exactly. i look at jonah my eyebrows knitted together forming my confused expression, but all i get from him is a cheeky smile.
i head down a small hallway arriving in a open family room, scanning the room my eyes lie on two people. august is obviously talking up the stranger with a bright expression upon her face she exclaims with passion, "you have no idea, bex is going to be so happy when she sees you here."
the stranger turns toward me, revealing his face... "jack?"
