QOTD: What's your biggest fear?

I waved awkwardly at Josh who was laying in my bed. "Where's Kasey?"

"She went out to get lunch." He glanced at me before tapping away at his phone. "Do you want me to tell her you want anything?"

"Uh, no. That's all right." I set my bag down on the desk and eyed him warily. Why would she leave him alone in our room. Nonetheless in my bed, shirtless. "Do you want a drink or something?"

"Water's fine." He nodded sitting up. I bent down and shuffled around in our mini fridge before pulling out a water bottle. I tossed it to him and he eagerly drank it.

"How long have you been here?"

"Hmm, couple hours I guess. She left just a few minutes before you got here actually." I wanted to leave since the environment was so awkward but I think it'd be rude.

Josh picked his phone back up from my bed and tapped away soundlessly. I don't think he'd mind if I left. "She should been here soon so I should go.."

He looked up and shook his head. "You're all good. She can get side tracked easily. I wouldn't mind the company."

"Y'know, I completely forgot. I have class soon. Do you know Professor Martin? He hates when people are late so I should get going now." He stood up and shrugged his shirt on.

"I'll walk you."

"That's fine really." I urged walking over to the door. If he walked me all the way to Professor Martin and he was already in the middle of a class I'd be mortified. "Kasey'll be here soon." I opened the door and went to slip out but he was right behind me.

I finally caved in not being able to make any other excuse and let him walk me around. We'd already passed Professor's door but I wasn't going to tell him that. I didn't have his class until tomorrow.

As we rounded the corner I saw Elijah walking towards us while digging through his bag. When he looked up we made eye contact and I silently begged him to help me.

He looked between Josh and I before raising an eyebrow. His face slightly dropped into a blank mask. This was not the time for pissy Elijah.

I widened my eyes at him to get the hint but his lips pursed firmly.

It wasn't until we walked right beside him that he spoke up, "Miss Beckett. I've been meaning to talk to you about your literary analysis paper. There were some interesting points I'd like to discuss. Are you free?"
