Maggie's Pov
The room goes silent as Daniel looks down and walks away.
"Everyone e.else. G.Get out" I stutter "D.Daniel no" I say looking back over to Daniel
Daniel's head immediately turns to me and a very faint smile forms on his face. I give him a reassuring smile that I'm not mad at him.
"Do you wanna talk to Daniel* Michelle asks
"Alone" I say as I look down
I keep my head down as I fiddle with my thumbs. Then I feel a two fingers under my chin lifting my head up. My eyes meet Daniel's, ocean blue eyes with sadness written all over them. My heart instantly breaks into a million pieces.
"Daniel please don't be sad. I'm not ma-" I start but get cut off almost immediately by Daniel's lips crashing into mine. Even after all this, I still get the same butterflies in my stomach each time we kiss. My face flushes as he pulls back. I start to look down, trying to cover my face flushing but Daniel keeps his fingers under my chin and makes me face him.
"I'm so sorry Maggie" He says with his voice so, so hurt and sad. It hurts me to hear him like this.
"Please Don't be sorry. I can't stand seeing you like this Daniel. I'm fine now, I promise" I say smiling a little at the end.
"I am sorry and I have to be sorry. Maggie You have no idea how happy I am that you're alive right now" He says as he grabs my hand and intertwined our fingers.
"If I was dead I would haunt you and the guys forever" I say giggling a bit. He lets out a laugh. Gosh I feel like I haven't heard that in forever. His laugh and happiness is all I need right now.
"You would haunt me" He says fake offended as he puts his free hand over his heart
"You would definitely be the first person I'll haunt" I laugh "Sorry" I shrug
"I feel offended" He says keeping his hand over his heart
"Hey! At least I'm not lying" I giggle
"Ya it's always good to know my girlfriends gonna haunt me" He laughs
"Hey you're one lucky man" I laugh
"Gosh I love you* He smiles kissing my hand. I laugh a little and smile at him.
"You really think you guys could get rid of me that fast" I laugh
"Fuck I guess we'll have to try plan B" Michelle says walking in
"We have like the whole alphabet planned." Jack continues
"Plan A to Z" Corbyn finishes laughing a bit
"Wow" I laugh "I can just feel the love coming from all directions" I chuckle
"Aw fuck she's back to her stupid ass sarcasm" Logan laughs
"Love you to bro" I chuckle
The room goes silent for a bit and all I can do is smile at each of my best friends. How did I get so lucky to have these people care so much about me and never leave my side.
"I love you guys so much" I smile
"We love you too" Jonah and Michelle say at the same time. They both look at each other and laugh, making Daniel and I to look at each other and laugh, causing everyone in the room to end up laughing.
The room then falls into silence again. I scan the room looking everyone from head to toe until Zach breaks the silence.
"Maggie are you in any pain" Zach asks
"Very much" I laugh a little "Just tryna laugh the pain away" I giggle
"Imma Get a Doctor" Michelle laugh
With that, she steps out of the room and walks into the hall. I see Jonah's eyes scan her body and watch her leave the room before he turns his head back facing us. A faint smirk tugs at my lips and I look down so nobody sees it.
I few minutes later Michelle comes in with a doctor. He checks my legs and arms and does a bunch of other doctor stuff. To be honest I didn't pay attention to him.
"Well I think you'll be free to go tomorrow" He says breaking the silence. "I'll just get your medicine" He smiles
"I can actually leave tomorrow" I excitedly say. I feel Daniel squeeze my hand as I look up and him and smile.
"Ya" the doctor smiles. "I'll be back with your medicine" he says and disappears into the hospital halls.
"Wait how long until I can actually like, walk" I ask
"The doctor said about a 3 and a half months or something" Logan answers
"Hehehehe have fun with that Maggie" Michelle laughs sitting next to me
"It'll be fun for me because I'm gonna make you do everything for me" I laugh at her
"Ooooooooof sucks to be you Maggie" Daniel laughs
"Shut the fuck up Daniel she's gonna make you do stuff also" Logan laughs
"She wouldn't dare" He says over dramatically
"I bet she would" Jonah laughs
"I know for a fact She would" Zach laughs
I laugh and look over at Daniel who then turns his head to me. I smirk and laugh in his face.
"Sorry Daniel. Even you know I would" I laugh
The rest of the night was filled with laughter and smiles from all around. No matter how much pain I was in, having them surrounding my bed was all I needed to forget about everything for a while.
I hear the door open and I look up and stare at them shocked.
